How to use this Training Plan.
I/ ,&is document &elps t&e R,6 and employer design a ,raining Plan t&at is aligned to
t&e Ve&icle 7anufacturing) Repair) "ervices and Retail A-ard !$%$/ ,&is A-ard
provides for -age progression under a = level competency #ased progression and
completion system for apprentices in t&e retail automotive industry/ ,&is sample
,raining Plan is designed to #e delivered #y follo-ing t&e qualification advice set out in
t&e ational ,raining Pac.age AUR$> Automotive Industry Retail) "ervice & Repair/
R,6s are advised to contact t&e Industry ".ills Council ;R" & R Industry ".ills< if t&ey
need furt&er advice to interpret t&e qualification frame-or. -&en selecting units of
competency to meet individual #usiness needs/
II/ ,&e ,raining Plan is a t&ree -ay agreement #et-een an apprentice) employer and
R,6/ ,&e ,raining Plan is divided into four levels of training -&ic& -&en completed
indicate progression t&roug& t&e apprentices&ip to-ards full training completion and
competency ac&ievement/ (ac& level of progression requires t&e R,6 and employer to
revie- and confirm t&e apprentice?s progress/ Completion of all of t&e levels -ill
complete t&e training contract #ased on t&e units t&at descri#e t&e industry standards/
III/ Relevant units of competency -it&in t&e ,raining Pac.age &ave #een aligned -it& t&e
four levels in an industry developed document Competency Based Completion Project

IV/ It is anticipated t&at as an apprentice completes eac& of t&e = competency progression
levels) t&e R,6 -ill contact employers and request confirmation t&at t&e apprentice &as
demonstrated competence in related tas.s to units of competency performed in t&e
-or.place ac&ieved in eac& of t&e levels set out in t&e ,raining Plan/ ,&is request may
also include a discussion -it& t&e employer on t&e apprentice?s progression/ ,&e
confirmation process s&ould #e discussed and documented in t&e ,raining Plan prior to
t&e start of t&e apprentices&ip training/ ,&is s&ould include an agreed met&od and
response time frame for employers to confirm -it& t&e R,6 t&e competencies ac&ieved
#y t&eir apprentice// "atisfactory progress -ill #e indicated #y employer signAoff for
eac& level set out in t&e ,raining Plan/
