Dear Church, Im sitting at my desk on a Monday morning. Man, what a weekend! The calendar was full. In fact, its been that way for the past week. Ive been to graduations, birthday parties, a wedding, a day with the family, worship, a litter pickup, hospital visits, committee meetings, a backyard bbq, a school awards ceremony, a com- munity bike ride... Ive said goodbye to a 15 year-old car and am now research- ing options for a new car I did some painting and thats not all. Ive heard that one should spend some time meditating (or praying) for fifteen minutes every day. Unless one is too busy; then one should meditate for an hour. It sounds crazy. And yet not doing so will, in fact, drive one crazy! Fortunately, I learned some years ago that the beginning of summer is always super busy, and Ive learned to be intentional

John & Marcia Solan 12613 S. 210th Avenue Buckeye, AZ 85326 about finding the time to breathe. The more one runs around, the more important it is to take time to be still, be silent, and just be. There is a lot going on at church this summer. But instead of telling you all about it, Im going to encourage you to just take a moment and breathe. Church, after all, is about more than pro- grams and activities. Its about making it possible for people to connect with God. So take that mo- ment, right now, and con- nect. Breathe. Feel the spirit within you. Be still, and know Blessings, Pastor Danny Its time once again for the Kim Foot and Ankle Shoe Drive! For the months of June & July, Bixby Knolls Christian Church will be a drop-off location for this shoe drive. Just bring new or used shoes to worship or anytime the church is open, and place them in our large collection box. Perhaps youll even want to ask your neighbors to contribute. Spread the word! Lets fill our box to overflowing and help achieve the goal of no shoeless person in the world! Last chance: Its time to get those summer camp forms turned in! June 29-July 5: Junior (grades 4-6) July 6-9: Mini (grades 2-3) July 6-9: Special Needs July 10-12: Parent/child July 13-19: Chi-Rho (grades 7-8) July 20-26: CYF 1 (grades 9-10) July 27-Aug 2: CYF 2 (grades 11-12 & 14 grads)
I give praise, glory, honor and thanks to our Holy Father, for answering my prayers, directing me to this wonderful and welcoming church. I thank Pastor Danny and everyone from the oldest to the youngest member for accepting me as a mem- ber and a disciple of Christ. I appreciate your warm spirit and hospitality. Special thanks for Barb (musical director) for letting me sing and play my guitars during worship service. I commend her and the rest of the choir and musicians for their commitment in providing good music during service, for our Lords listening pleasure. I will do my best to serve our congregation and please dont hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can be of help. Thank you again, for the friendly and godly atmosphere and environment you all have created. I feel happy and at peace, especially knowing His presence in our congregation. As the scriptures say; Psalm 6:9 and 1 John 5:15, The Lord hears our plea, the Lord will answer our prayers. May His peace and blessings be with you always.
Respectfully, Ioane Johnny

Our stained glass windows are beautiful but do you know where on our church premises these are located? Sunday, June 22, we will be ordering Scrip. If you have any special orders, come to the Scrip table. A little girl whod grown up in the city spent some of her summer vacation out in the country. One starlit night, she and her dad stood gazing up into the sky without any harsh streetlights obstruct- ing the view.
The girl, amazed by the sparkling view, exclaimed, If heaven is so pretty on the wrong side, I wonder what it looks like on the right side!
