What does it take to be a good parent?

Nowadays, we often heard parent complains about their kids bad behaviour
especially for children disrespect their parents. For example, y !"year"old is the oldest
of my three boys and he has a very bad attitude and temper. When he does not get his
way, he starts fussing and arguing with me. #e throws his toys and is very ungrateful and
demanding. For example, when $ cook something that he does not want to eat, he yells
and then goes to his room. $t%s starting to rub off on my &"year"old, and $ need help on
how to control his attitude. $ have tried time"outs, taking his stuff away, but nothing is
working.' (his is a complaint from a mother about her children. )omplaints like this is
really happening in our society and its become a concern for us as parents on how to deal
with certain cases. *ometimes, we blame ourselves for not able to be a good parent as the
role model for our kids.
$t is no doubt that parenting is a difficult work to deal with. We all face those days
when our children%s behaviour gets the best of us and we wonder, +m $ really capable in
doing this ,ob?' #owever, this should be the exception not the norm. -ad attitudes and
rude behaviors must be corrected for the children%s sake as well as your own.

intelligence, and difficulty maintaining lasting relationships. +ll parents deal with child
attitude problems from time to time. -ut if your child consistently cops an attitude' with
you and has ongoing issues with defiance, hostility, or disobedience, the behavior
re/uires more serious interventions. Fortunately, we have seen that when parents use the
right tools and the right approach, they can change their child%s attitude and behavior. +s
parents, we should know what is the best approach to deal with our kids and this will help
us in order to be a good parent.
