RITES Limited (also known as Rail India Technical and Economic Service) is an engineering consultancy
company, specializing in the field of transport infrastructure. Established in 1974 by the Government of
India, the company's initial charter was to provide consultancy services in rail transport management to
operators in India and abroad. RITES has since diversified into planning and consulting services for other
infrastructure, including airports, ports, highways and urban planning. It has been awarded the status of
MINIRATNA in 2002.
RITES Ltd., an ISO 9001-2008 company, is a multi-disciplinary consultancy organization in the fields of
transport, infrastructure and related technologies. It provides a comprehensive array of services under a
single roof and believes n transfer of technology to client organizations. In overseas projects, RITES

Range of services
RITES provides a wide range of services to various infrastructure sectors. The following table presents a

INSPECTION BODY ACCREDITATION CERTIFICATE NABCB hereby confirms that RITES Limited
Operating from their office at RITES Bhawan, Plot-1,Sector-29. Gurgaon complies to NABCB
criteria (ISO/IEC 17020) and is accredited as Type 'A' Inspection Body to carry out inspection for
the scopes described in Schedule-I and from the offices described in Schedule-II
RITES has been consistently rated as "EXCELLENT", the highest level of rating in its performance
evaluation under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed with the Ministry of
Railways since 1991-92.
The Company has been granted the status of Mini Ratna (The Small Jewel) in 2002.

The projects where Rites provides consultancy for all the above mentioned tasks are called Turnkey
