OBJECT PRONOUN

Casi todas las oraciones tienen un sujeto (subject) y un objeto (object). El sujeto desempea la accin.
La accin se desempea en un objeto o a travs de un objeto.
She is writing a letter. Ella est escribiendo una carta
I am listening to music. (Yo)Estoy escuchando msica
John is speaking to the teacher.
John est hablando con el
profesor.

Los pronombres de sujeto (I,you, he, she, it, we, you, they) se usan siempre cuando el pronombre
acta como sujeto. Cuando un pronombre se usa como objeto, se hace uso de pronombres objetos
especiales (Me, you, him, her, it, us, you, them).
They are living with me. Ellos estn viviendo conmigo.
She is working with us. Ella est trabajando con nosotros.
We are looking at them. Nosotros les estamos mirando.
They are speaking to her. Ellos le estn hablando.
She talking to them. Ella les est hablando.
Nota: Los pronombres objeto you e it son iguales a los pronombres sujeto.
I love you. Yo te amo.
They want it. Ellos lo quieren.

Leamos el siguiente dilogo.

A: Hi, Susan
B: Hi, mom!
A: Who are you talking to?
B: I am talking to Peter.
He is helping me with my homework.
A: Oh! I see.

Respondamos a las siguientes preguntas:
Who is Susan talking to? She is talking to Peter.
(A quin Susan le est hablando?) (Ella le est hablando a Peter.)
Who is Peter helping? Peter is helping Susan.
(A quin est Peter ayudando?) (Peter est ayudando a Susan.)

Los object pronouns como "me, you, him, her, it, us, them" se utillizan para sustituir en la oracin a
sustantivos que hacen la funcin de Objeto Directo u Objeto Indirecto. Por ejemplo:

Sustitucin
Castellano: Ella est hablando a Peter: Ella le est hablando
Ingls: She is talking to Peter: She is talking to HIM

Como ves, "HIM" est sustituyendo a "Peter".
