Oracle Policy Automation (8.2.2.2)
Oracles policy automation solution enables government agencies throughout the world to effectively deliver services and determine legislated and policy
obligations fairly and consistently. Oracles policy automation solution consists of two products: Oracle Policy Modeling and Oracle Policy Automation.
Oracle Policy Modeling provides a complete natural-language, rule-authoring environment that is fully integrated with the Microsoft Office suite. It includes
debugging, regression testing, and what-if analysis for policy changes. The rules are then deployed to Oracle Policy Automation for complex benefit and
eligibility determination. Built for service-oriented architectures (SOAs), Oracle Policy Automation also includes guided interactive questionnaires.
Incremental Repository Merge (IRM) - 8.1.1.10
Incremental Repository Merge
Incremental Repository Merge (IRM) has two main functions:
1) Generation of targeted content into Siebel Delta Files (SDF), which enhances parallel development for customers.
2) Easy installation of Oracle Innovation Packs for Siebel-replaces the old ACR installation process.

Key Features
Create small, transportable innovations
Wizard to import Siebel Innovation Packs
Mark updates to repository objects with tags that allow fine granularity in packaging customizations
Visually compare two workflow processes or tasks
Hierarchical report of merge conflicts
Admin screens for tags and developer conflicts

Parallel development can be aided by more frequent merges. It remains a fact that only one developer at a time can check out an object, but their changes can
more quickly be applied to all environments since Siebel Delta Files are smaller with less information to compare when merged into another repository. It is faster
to create them and import them.

Object Tagging
Another way to improve the agile capabilities of development using Siebel Tools is to use object tagging. Object tagging associates developers with a specific tag
or tags. When they do any work in Siebel Tools they must choose a tag under which to do this work. All the work they do is then logged to new tables so that
there is a record of their work. When a developer attempts to overwrite the work of another developer they get a warning. Administrators can view reports of
these developer conflicts in new views in the user interface.
Using object tagging lets developers further delineate their work even within the definitions of an object. Later, using the tag, developers can extract the work
they have done under that or any other tag to be packaged up and moved between environments.

Siebel Delta Files
Unlike a SIF file that contains the entire definition of an object a Siebel Delta File contains only the information necessary to fully define the changes to an object.
This makes them smaller with less information. When importing these files into a target repository the import and merge is much quicker since less information
must be compared between the target repository and the data in the Siebel Delta File.
A Siebel Delta File is created in the same location as when creating an SIF file.
Siebel Delta Files can be created using a combination of the date and time objects were updated, the development tag created using object tagging or both. This
10/15/13 Document Display
https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/ui/km/SearchDocDisplay.jspx?returnToSrId=&_afrLoop=286350485382708&srnum=&type=DOCUMENT&id=1511247 11/16
allows fine granularity in what content can be moved from one environment to another.

Inovation Pack Deployment Wizzard
There is a new wizard in Siebel Tools that will make the installation of Oracle Innovation Packs faster and easier. It combines many of the common steps used
for installing ACRs previously and automates them including:
Apply logical schema to physical database
Import seed data for selected languages
Three way merge

Visually Compare Workflows or Tasks
A new utility is included in Siebel Tools with 8.1.1.10 that will allow developers to visually compare two workflow processes or tasks. Much of the time after an
upgrade is spent tediously inspecting what might have changed between two workflow processes or two tasks. With the Workflow/Task Visual Comparison
Utility finding changes is instant.
One of the biggest issues for customers is that installing product patches (such as ACRs) is a lengthy, manual, and complicated process. This feature of Siebel
Tools will make the installation of innovations from Oracle, or innovations developed by customers for themselves, easier to move between environments.
This feature provides:
The ability to export only changes made to an object rather than all attributes of the object.
The ability to more quickly and easily merge Oracle or customer innovations into a repository

Merge Conflict Hierarchical Report
We have transformed the flat views of merge conflict data and presented them in a new report that allows developers to go through the tree of a particular object
and see exactly what has changed. Furthermore, if an object on which the currently selected object depends has changed developers can drill down on that
object and find out how it changed and get a better idea of the testing effort involved. This should make the task of resolving conflicts faster and easier as well as
give insight for testing efforts after the merge.

Siebel Diagnostics and Monitoring - 8.1.1.10
Siebel Diagnostics and Monitoring

Oracles Siebel CRM in its future releases plans to provide a solution that would address customers requirements in relation to Siebel Diagnostics and

Siebel Oracle Knowledge Integration - 8.1.1.10
Siebel Oracle Knowledge Integration
Siebel Oracle Knowledge integration allows agents to leverage knowledge across the enterprise to deliver consistent, accurate answers with every interaction. It
allows agents to tap into knowledge from various sources, collaborate with peers, reach out to subject matter experts, and contribute their own expertise through

Enterprise Data Quality -8.1.1.10
Enterprise Data Quality

Data Quality provides a framework enabling a controlled path to higher data quality levels for the enterprise. The Oracle Enterprise Data Quality family of
products helps organizations achieve maximum value from their business-critical applications by delivering fit-for-purpose data. These products also enable
individuals and collaborative teams to quickly and easily identify and resolve any problems in underlying data.
8.1.1.10 release of Siebel CRM has Oracle Enterprise Data Quality products pre-integrated with Siebel CRM and Siebel UCM (Oracle Customer Hub). The
integration is feature-rich and functionally superior to the other pre-integrated connectors provided by Siebel CRM in the past releases.
Using the pre-integrated Enterprise Data Quality, customers will be able to match the data on any child entity in all CRM and Customer Hub flows. Some of the
features that stand out in this pre-integrated connector for Matching include the following:
Matching on any child entity.
Support and flexibility to match on multiple attributes.
Ability to use different match rules for different languages and different Sources.
Stateless integration for better performance and scalability.
Easy to configure match rules.
Similarly using the pre-integrated Enterprise Data Quality, customers can validate addresses and standardize the data in all CRM and Customer Hub flows. This
will help to parse, standardize, transliterate, deduplicate, and validate all address data to achieve improved data quality in addresses, which in turn, can help
enterprises integrate their multinational customer information, prevent identity loss, perform fraud detection and prevention, as well as directly reduce mail-based
marketing costs.
Some of the features that stand out in this pre-integrated connector for address validation and standardization include the following:
Integration is highly scalable and high performing.
Integrated single engine that supports all countries.
Prebuilt standardization on the Name and Address attributes.

Note: Oracles Enterprise Master Data Management suites of products are licensed separately from Siebel CRM.

Siebel Search Center - 8.1.1.10
Siebel Search Center and Oracle Secure Enterprise Search Integration

Data Source Support
Siebel Search Center currently expands the reach of search inside and outside of Siebel CRM version 8 applications with Oracle Secure Enterprise Search.
Oracle Secure Enterprise Search provides secure access to all of an organization's data sources, including Web sites, file servers, content management systems,
enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management systems, business intelligence systems, and databases. Improvements to link to external data
sources and view their results from Siebel Search Center is planned to further extend the usability of this capability within a Siebel application.

dictionary or based on the alternate keywords set up by the administrator.

User Visibility
Prior 8.1.1.10 Siebel Search Center supported the definition of a user visibility attribute for limiting content to only those who should have access. Support to a
wide variety of search scenarios, configuring the visibility attributes for search content is extended to support multiple attributesat a time in 8.1.1.10. Only those
search categories to which the user has access can be viewed.

Web User Interface
Siebel Search Center is extended to allow users to search from a configurable and customizable Web-based user interface. The Oracle Secure Enterprise Search
Web-based user interface is accessible from within Siebel CRM extending the search experience from either within or external to Siebel CRM. Preconfigured
Siebel CRM integration with a Web-based interface results in a richer user experience, for example allowing one-click to initiate a search or enabling a user to
take action on a result within Siebel CRM. This feature should increase user productivity and improve the speed of resolution for users delivering customer
support.

Administration and Configuration
Siebel Search administration is improved to streamline tasks such as defining the business objects required to be indexed and defining how results are displayed.
Siebel Search has a more simplified search administration and configuration process, which includes configuring validation and asynchronous indexing from a
command line. Administrators will be able to monitor progress of indexing with greater granularity, allowing them to take action more meaningfully where
required. Also, we now have an administrative user interface.

Architecture
The Siebel Business Applications environment consists of the following entities:
