Competencies and Skills
The college has taught me all the required skills and abilities that needed in the work
place and I am applying them into the work I am doing now. All the concepts and
skills that I should learn really help me a lot to be more competent and efficient.
Learning IT, concepts about business and numerical skills are so helpful especially in
my type of work right now. But honestly speaking I am still having a hard time in
dealing with customers and clients since I am new in this world. It is really
different, compared to just listening and studying in college. In due time I know I can
learn how to handle customers easily.

The skills in the HCT college are actually similar to the skills in the workplace but of
course in the actual work I can say that this is the reality, where I must possess all
the skills, abilities, concepts and everything I have learned to be able to succeed in my
endeavor.

Dealing with customers is the skill that I still need to develop since I am still having
difficulties in dealing with different types of peoples needs. But I am pretty sure that
I can do it with the skills I have gained and learned from HCT College.

The HTC College could have prepared me better for Work Experience if they would
have a method of learning by doing, wherein we can be more familiar in dealing with
other people.

Most of the feedbacks that I receive are quite good and positive since I am familiar
with the tasks given to me, mostly are the same tasks that I have learned in college.
And these feedbacks can be useful in my future career plans for they give me more
self-esteem and courage to be more pursuant to my career.

Critical Thinking

I would highly recommend other student in the future to work experience in this
organization because, this organization can meet everything you are looking for and I
believe that this place can let you express yourself more and more because the
environment is extremely helping so are the staff, they are supportive and helpful.
Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority is one of the most successful
organizations in the city that made a very great impression on me and have affected
on my future career plan because after this work place experience I had to change

some of my future plans because they offered me a position in the PR & Destination
Development department when I was planning to start working after gradution and
one of the good impacts that the organization have made on me that made me decide
to work with them because this organization is exactly what I am looking for in a
working environment so are the staff because they were super kind and helpful with
me and defiantly I will continue working with them after graduation.
