Hard QoS? Take It Easy!

BGs MPLS and Layer2 Ethernet

capabilities offer carriers a clear
migration path from pure TDM-based
legacy services to new value-added
data services. With BG, carriers can
provide services such as Ethernet
Private Lines (EPLs) with Ethernet over
SDH (EoS) or Ethernet over PDH (EoP)
replacing traditional TDM leased-line
services; Ethernet Virtual Private Lines
(EVPLs) using shared bandwidth; and
Ethernet Private LAN (EPLAN)/Ethernet
Virtual Private LAN (EVPLAN) extending
corporate LANs over the WAN. The BG
MPLS cards support full triple play
services, IPTV, VoD, VoIP, and HSI for
residential NGN applications.

This platform also optimizes as an access
aggregator and an MSAG (Multi Service
Aggregation Gateway) CLE. It supports
enhanced video handling and P2MP
multicast tree connectivity, enabling highly
efficient bandwidth savings for broadcast
TV/IPTV services, as well as star VPLS for
IPTV and IGMP control messages.

BGs MPLS card set-based networks are
managed by the LightSoft

NMS. It provides
point-and-click service provisioning with
Hard QoS and Service Level Agreement
(SLA) assurances based on a sophisticated
Connection Admission Control (CAC)
algorithm that guarantees network services.

Reduced OPEX through integration of
multiple networks over a single
converged MPLS network
Increased revenue generation for both
current and new Ethernet services, such
as VPLS VPNs (E-LAN), E-Lines, and
multicast trees.
Assured QoS for triple play, IPTV,
VOD, business, and other services
through MPLS TE capability.
Extended SLAs with significant
performance-related criteria.
Secured services through MPLS
tunneling and VPN segregation.
