Exploration of the Periodic Table and Elements

The following websites will help us get acquainted with the Periodic
Table and elements which will be such an important tool for our class!

Exploration
1. Observe the layout and arrangement of the elements.
2. Read the names and symbols of the elements.
3. Observe the way the numbers increase on the element boxes.
4. Click on some of the elements and observe their appearance and
the information given for an element.
5. Observe how the table is divided into metals and non-metal
elements.
Search Questions
1. Who created the Periodic Table?
2. Which side of the Periodic Table is made up of metals? Which side
is non-metals.
3. Find Hydrogen on the table and find the symbol, atomic number,
and atomic mass.
4. Find Oxygen on the table and find the symbol, atomic number,
and atomic mass.
5. Where are the noble gases located on the table?
6. Choose an element and give the name symbol, atomic number,
atomic mass, and an extra piece of information that you find of
interest.
