colleges in eastern part of India. Since we are already into the process of starting a great

HETC is a Government Aided Degree Engineering College run by Hooghly Engineering &
Technology College Society, a non-profit Organization engaged in the promotion of
Technical Education amongst the students and the dissemination of scientific knowledge in
the Society. It started academic functioning from session 2004 and at present offers the
following B.Tech courses:

• Computer Science & Engineering

• Electronics & Communication Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Civil Engineering

All the courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)
New Delhi and the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal. The
College is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology. The Admission to the
college is made from the merit list of WBJEE to the extent of 90% approved intake and the
rest 10% through Central Counseling from the merit list of AIEEE.

HETC is a leading institute of its kind in West Bengal, having excellent infrastructure and
state-of-the-art-laboratory facilities. The academic programme is comprehensive and
meticulous – aimed at fostering "Multi-dimensional Engineers" with sound knowledge,
application skills and analytical bent of mind and gusto for work. We take legitimate pride in
informing you that our students are consistently bagging majority of the merit positions in
University examinations every year.

The end-semester results of the institute are excellent. The students from this institute
secured highest position in the University examination in the Departments of Electronics &
Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Electrical
Engineering. Two of our students secured top position of the University from Civil
Engineering disciplines. We are confident that our Graduate-Engineers will perform well &
live up to your expectation.
