Redesign Plan
Target group Women from age 18-50 is my
target group. Women from the age of 18 would start
become more important. Teir appearances directly
afect their confdence. Healthy diet and high quality
juice and food would have a higher demand from
these target groups.
Brief history Te Bolthouse family starts
commercial vegetable farming in western Michigan
in 1915. Tey frst started with feld packing business
and storing onions for of-season supply. By 1950,
Bolthouse Farms is a leading supplier of carrots to
Midwest processors. Te business has been growing
over the years. Te Baby Carrot is born in 1990.
Bolthouse Farms introduces ready-to-eat cut-and-
peeled carrots, marketed under the name Shortcuts.
Te food service business begins with carrot juice
concentrate and fresh ingredient production in 1997.
Several new business lines begin, including super
premium beverages, frozen carrot business and the
Hydrobind fber business, which adds a boost of
vegetable fber to products. A state-of-the-art bottling
facility is built-in Bakersfeld in 2003. Tey also start
manufacturing yogurt-based dressings in 2007. Te
yogurt base fves the dressings fewer calories while
preserving taste
My big Idea Redesigning the Bolthouse
Premium Juice plastic bottle into glass bottle with a
new design packaging. It will allow the Bolthouse
Premium Juice to gain more recognition as a high
quality fresh juice choice. By repackaging the product
in a high-class appearance, consumers will consider
Bolthouse Premium Juice as their frst choice for
juice.
