Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is a television reality show and the Indian version of BBC's Strictly Appear Dancing
Concept
In Winners of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, celebrities perform different dances collectively with professional
dance partners. The show's format is taken coming from the Strictly Come Dancing display on BBC One
in the UK. The show is also pre-recorded, unlike Strictly Arrive Dancing and other spin and rewrite-offs.
Of the spin offs, the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is the only one which uses recorded tracks as opposed to live
music with an in-house band.
The show is produced simply by BBC Throughout the world Productions in India. Tania Bath is the
Creative Director of the Indian series.
Season 1
The first season of the show started on 8 September 2006 and ended 4 November.
Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi managed the series. Shilpa Shetty, Farah Caravansary and
Sanjay Leela Bhansali have been the judges. Mona Singh and Toby have been named the winners.
The other contestants, in order of elimination, have been Pooja Bedi, Rati Agnihotri, Sanjeev Kapoor,
Akashdeep Saighal, Ajay Jadeja and Rhea, Mahesh Manjrekar and Sonia, Shweta Ointment and
Loungines.
Season 2
The second season of the show began on September 28, 2007 and ended 12 , 15, 2007. Prachi Desai and
Deepak Singh were named the winners.
It was located by Mona Singh and Rohit Roy with the judging done by Urmila Matondkar, Jeetendra and
Shiamak Davar.
The contestants integrated, in order of elimination, Aadesh Shrivastava and Tina Sachdev, Tapur
Chatterjee and Feroz, Little Mathur and Hemu, Cyrus Broacha Rozita Rajput, Sudha Chandran and Uma
Shankar, Mika Singh and Tanushree, Ronit Roy and Nicole Alvares, Sonali Kulkarni and Toby Fernandes,
Mir Ranjan Negi and Marischa Fernandes, The author Bhanushali and Bindi Khare, Sandhya Mridul and
Javed Sanadi.
Season 4
The hosts for the fourth time of year were Sumeet Raghavan and Mona Singh, with Remo D'souza,
Madhuri Dixit and Malaika Arora Caravansary acting since judges.
The contestants have been Sushant Singh Rajput, Ankita Lokhande, Meiyang Chang, Krushna Abhishek,
Ragini Khanna, Mahi Vij, Renuka Shahane, Anushka Manchanda, Yana Gupta, Shekhar Suman, Akhil
Kumar. The winner had been Meiyang Alter with his spouse Marischa Fernandez. The runner federal
express were Sushant Singh Rajput and Yana Gupta.
Season 5
The hosts for the fifth season were Manish Paul and Ragini Khanna, with Remo D'souza, Madhuri Dixit
and Karan Johar acting as judges.
The contestants were Gurmeet Chaudhary, Rashmi Desai, Rithvik Dhanjani, Karan Wahi, Bharti Singh,
Darsheel Safary. The winner was Gurmeet Chaudhary and his spouse Shampa.
Season 6
The hosts of the show have been Kapil Sharma and Manish Paul, with Madhuri Dixit, Remo D'souza and
Karan Johar serving as idol judges.
The finale required place on September 14, 2013 and was won by Drashti Dhami with Salman Yusuff
Caravanserai.
Season 7 Winners of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa all seasons
Season 7 premiered on June 7, 2014. It is being hosted by Ranvir Shorey and Drashti Dhami.
Remo D'souza, Madhuri Dixit, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karan Johar are the judges. The contestants
are usually S. Sreesanth, Sophie Choudry, Purab Kohli, Karan Staplegun, Mouni Roy, Kritika Kamra, Kiku
Sharda because Palak, VJ Andy, Shakti Mohan, Sukhwinder Singh, Akshat Singh, Ashish Sharma and
Pooja Bose.
