Des cription

VW Embedment s train gages are compos e d of a s tainle s s
s te e l tube with flange s at e ithe r e nd. Ins ide the tube is a
s te e l s trip ne ar by the plucking coil that is he ld in te ns ion
between the ends of the tube.

Strain in the concre te applie d on the flanges is trans mitted
to the tube and a s te e l s trip, changing in the te ns ion of the
s trip. Whe n the s trip is plucke d ne ar by the plucking coil,
it vibrate s at its re s onant fre que ncy change d. This s ignal
is trans mitte d to the VW re adout unit. The re adout unit
proces s es the s ignal and dis plays a reading.

The gage is e quippe d with a lightning prote ction to prote ct
the s e ns or from e le ctrical s hock and a te mpe rature de vice
to compens ate for temperature variations .

me as ure the magnitude , dis tribute d dire ction and tre nd of

ve rify diffe re nce of s train be twe e n no s tre s s and loading
conditions , and to find the tre nd of s tre s s afte r e mbe dde d
in dams and e mbankme nts .

The mode l 1230 VW Embedment s train gage is us e ful for
me as uring s train toward tange ntial and radial directions in
tunnel s hotcrete.

The mode l 1235 of the s upe r s mall s ized is applicable
us e fully whe n mock-te s te d with the gage of 51.5mm or
the re is the limit on the condition of e s tablis hme nt.

The mode l 1243 is us e ful if be ing applicable in te s ting the
concre te file improving s te e l as manufacture d with the
s tructure for high te mpe rature able to we re e ndurable at
200.

The mode l 1245 as the gage with 250mm s hows the
e xce lle nt pe rformance more than normal type mode l s ince
the s e al or compre s s ion is gre at big at the pre s tre s s e d
concrete.

by multiplying convers ion factor.
It is important that the y is ins talled with VW s hotcrete
