Many investigations in the field of MMC(Modular Multilevel Converter) have led to successful operation of HVDC systems. But,problem associated while operation of MMC is circulating currents which
flows through the legs of converter due to presence of sub modules with capacitors and inductors. This poster focus on design of controller and its application to MMC with experimental verification

Introduction to Modular Multilevel Converter [1-3]:
It requires an isolated DC source.
Benefits of a multilevel inverter are obtained automatically. Modular realization, easily scalable to different power and voltage level. Faulty cells can be easily bypassed. !e internal arm currents are not c!opped. "rotection c!o#es $% arm & are inserted into t!e system. !ey do not disturb t!e operating voltage of t!e semiconductor, since t!e currents are not c!opped. !e sub modules are two terminal devices,t!ere by no need to supply t!e DC side capacitor wit! energy. 'oltage balancing is not critical. (witc!ing cells can control t!e bot!
