1.1 What is Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro?
Autodesk

InfraWorks 360 Pro offers breakthrough 3D modeling, visualization and cloud-based collaboration
technologies to support Building Information Modeling workflows. Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro enhances BIM
workflows by providing desktop software and cloud-based capabilities that enable multi-discipline infrastructure project
stakeholders in geographically dispersed offices to publish, store, and manage large models centrally and more securely in
the cloud. Users can collaborate by inviting team members to access, download, and edit shared models simultaneously
and review multiple project proposals using the same data via desktop or mobile devices.

1.2 What is the difference between Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro, InfraWorks standalone and InfraWorks

Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro software combines Autodesk InfraWorks desktop software and Autodesk InfraWorks 360
cloud-based capabilities in a standalone termed offering. Rental plans grant license holders the right to use the software
for a specified period of time with the option to renew their term licenses for additional payments.

Note: Autodesk InfraWorks desktop software purchased as a standalone license does not include access to InfraWorks
360 cloud-based capabilities or InfraWorks modules.

1.3 What is new or different with Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro?
In March Autodesk announced InfraWorks and InfraWorks 360, with InfraWorks available as a standalone desktop
software solution, and the combination of InfraWorks desktop and InfraWorks 360 cloud-based capabilities accessible to
Subscribers of the Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite 2014 Premium and Ultimate editions. Autodesk InfraWorks 360
Pro is a new offering that brings together InfraWorks desktop software and InfraWorks 360 cloud-based capabilities into
one solution. Also new is that weve made access to this solution available via an affordable, quarterly rental plan.

Before Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro, users could purchase a yearly Subscription to Autodesk InfraWorks desktop
software, but they would not have access to Autodesk InfraWorks 360 cloud-based capabilities. Before the release of
Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro, the only way for users to experience the combination of InfraWorks technologies was to be
a Subscriber to the Premium or Ultimate edition of the Autodesk Infrastructure Design Suite 2014 or Ultimate edition of
the Autodesk Building Design Suite 2014.

1.5 What are the benefits of purchasing a rental plan for InfraWorks 360 Pro versus a perpetual license to
InfraWorks on a standalone basis or as part of Design Suites?
Licensing InfraWorks technology as a quarterly-term rental plan will appeal to existing Civil 3D customers who did not
migrate to Infrastructure Design Suite and need to accelerate their design process; communication officers for both
municipal and government agencies who need to share easy to understand design concepts with a broad audience; and
engineering service providers who need to stand out in competitive bids and win more work.

1.6 Can I try Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro before purchasing a license to it?
Customers can try Autodesk InfraWorks software by downloading the Autodesk InfraWorks software trial version. This
fully functioning version is available as a free* 30-day trial. Customers can also try InfraWorks 2014 as part of Autodesk
Infrastructure Design Suite Ultimate edition or Autodesk Building Design Suite Ultimate edition. Simply download the trial
version.

2. Technology
2.1 What types of data can I access and use to build infrastructure models using Autodesk InfraWorks 360
Pro?
With InfraWorks, you can build infrastructure models from a broad variety of data. Using open-source Feature Data Object
(FDO) technology, InfraWorks supports spatial data from a variety of data sources, including:
ESRI

SHP files, CityGML files, and Oracle

, Microsoft

SQL Server

, PostGIS, PostgreSQL, SQLite, MySQL

ESRI

managed databases.
InfraWorks 360 Pro also supports importing data from a 3D laser scan and other reality capture files that have
been converted to RCS format (Autodesk

Autodesk InfraWorks is increasingly becoming an integral part of BIM for Infrastructure workflows. InfraWorks 360 Pro is a
complementary solution and is not meant to replace the use of other software. InfraWorks 360 Pro helps civil engineering
and planning professionals to perform planning and design functions in the context of the natural and built environment
and enables them to collaborate almost anytime from anywhere and communicate in new ways.

Products such as Autodesk Revit software and Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D software are detailed design applications that
can be used to further refine individual designs created in InfraWorks products. Autodesk

3ds Max

Design software can

be used to create more refined renderings and animations of the project proposals created in InfraWorks
products. Autodesk

Navisworks

software products provide coordination, clash detection, and project management tools
for smaller scale, individual building and infrastructure projects aggregating models generated in other products.
InfraWorks enables users to create and visualize large-scale infrastructure projects and multiple project proposals, in
context, and has tools specifically built to help users create 3D infrastructure models and generate 3D scenes from 2D
data.

3. Compatibility and Interoperability
3.1 Does Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro work with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2014 and AutoCAD Map 3D 2014
software?
With InfraWorks 360 Pro, you can more quickly create and enhance infrastructure models using geospatial data created
with Autodesk AutoCAD Map 3D software and LandXML data created in Civil 3D. IMX is an Autodesk format used
specifically to exchange data between Autodesk InfraWorks 2014 and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2014. Note that due to schema
changes, you cannot exchange data between Civil 3D and InfraWorks using IMX files created by earlier versions; for
example, you cannot import IMX 2013 data into Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro. In addition, building footprints, road
centerlines, and other vector objects modified within InfraWorks can be accessed and viewed in AutoCAD Map 3D and
AutoCAD Civil 3D software directly, with no export required.

3.2 Does Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro work with Autodesk InfraWorks?
Models created in Autodesk InfraWorks 2014 software can be used by Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro.

3.3 Does Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro work with Autodesk Revit software products?
With InfraWorks 360 Pro, you can import buildings designed in Autodesk Revit software products using the FBX file
format to enrich your model. Additionally, Revit 2014 .rvt files can be imported directly.


4. Installation, Configuration, Licensing
4.1 What are the system requirements for Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro?

4.2 Does Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro software require installing software on my desktop?
Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro includes both desktop software and access to cloud-based capabilities. Autodesk
InfraWorks software installs on the desktop in the same manner as traditional perpetual-licensed desktop products.
Autodesk InfraWorks 360 cloud-based capabilities use the desktop, web or mobile devices as a client but leverage the
storage capacity and virtually infinite computing power of the cloud and do not require additional software installation.

4.3 Does Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro have to connect to the Internet to work? What if there is no
connection? Can it work offline?
Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro software will work when offline for up to 14 days, at which point the user must connect to
the Internet to continue. After seven days of disconnected use, the user will be reminded about the requirement to
connect to the Internet. An Internet connection is required in order to access Autodesk InfraWorks 360 cloud-based
capabilities.

4.4 When does a rental plan term begin?
The rental plan term begins once the customer receives their order confirmation email. For example, if a customer places
an order on August 31, 2013 and receives their order confirmation on the same day, the rental plan term begins on
August 31, 2013. In this example, a monthly rental plan would automatically renew on the last day of each subsequent
month until cancelled by the customer. If it were a quarterly plan, the customers rental plan would expire on November
30, 2013, unless the customer chose to renew.

4.5 Is there any difference in files created in rental-licensed versus perpetual-licensed InfraWorks software?
No. There is no difference in files created in either perpetual-licensed or rental-licensed software. They are compatible with
each other.

4.6 What happens to data stored in the cloud after a rental plan is not renewed or terminated?
Entitlement to InfraWorks 360 cloud-based capabilities continues until the end of the billing cycle, at which point all
documents stored in Autodesk 360 Storage remains available for an additional 30 days (25Gb). A customer whose rental
license plan has expired can continue to access and view existing design and documentation files during this period, but
will not be able to edit or add information to the files. After 30 days, the customers Autodesk 360 account will revert to
the free offering and storage limitations will be reduced from 25Gb to 5Gb.

4.7 Can an existing, perpetual InfraWorks software license be converted to a rental license plan of Autodesk
InfraWorks 360 Pro?
No.

4.8 Can an Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro rental license plan be networked so that it can be shared within an
office like perpetual software licenses can?
No. Rental license plans are named user licenses; each license can be used by one end user, who accesses the rental plan
with his or her individual Autodesk ID.

4.9 Are the Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro rental license plans transferable?
No. License transfer will not be permitted.

4.11 In what languages and countries will Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro be available?
Autodesk InfraWorks 360 Pro will be available in the English, German, French, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Russian and
Brazilian Portuguese languages and is available worldwide in countries where electronic license downloads of Autodesk
products are permitted. Countries where electronic license downloads are not supported include Japan, Russia and
China.
