Air quality is a major environmental health issue for Dallas. Dallas is
located in the nine county non-attainment area, a region in which the air
quality monitors do not meet federal air quality standards for a criteria
pollutant, ozone. Dallas is addressing poor air quality through its green fleet,
environmental ordinances, renewable energy and recycling programs. Join
Nicole Cooper from the City of Dallas to learn more about environmental
initiatives.
Feb. 15: North Texas Master Naturalist
Often it is the passion of volunteers that encourages change. Texas is
fortunate to have a statewide program that trains volunteers to provide
education and outreach in a wide variety of natural resource conservation
efforts. Find out who your Texas Master Naturalists are and how these
volunteers are bringing the green to Dallas.
Feb. 22: North Texas Water Issues
