Presidents Message
Pres. ARNOLD Arnold JAYME
SECRETARYS MESSAGE
Sec. Bing T. Santamaria
ANOTHER ROTARY YEAR BEGINS ...
LET US ALL START TO LIGHT UP ROTARY!!!
Today, July 1, 2014, is the start of another new Rotary Year!!!
The time has come for about 34,000 club presidents, including ME, to
start taking their posts and start their term as Rotary Club Presidents.
In Rotary, we set our hearts right by putting Service Above Self. And
we recognize that in order to be ambitious in our service, we must rst
care for our own organization and expand our family of Rotary. We have
a commitment to achieve lasting change and work together to empower
the youth, enhance health, promote peace, and most importantly,
advance communities.
This Rotary Year 2014-2015, Rotary International President Gary C.K.
Huang asks all of us Rotarians to LIGHT UP ROTARY, by sharing our
services, strengthening our club and letting our personal light shine in
our communities.
I would like to challenge all of my fellow Rotarians in the Rotary Club
of Kalibo, to make this Rotary year another successful Rotary year for
our club. As your new Club President, I encourage all the Rotarians to
attend our weekly Club Meetings, to participate actively and share your
expertise in all of our Rotary Activities , and to pay our Rotary Dues
promptly. I will do my very best to be of service for our Rotary Club and
be the BEST CLASS PRESIDENT that I can be.
I hope to see ALL of the Rotarians during this FIRST Meeting of the New
Rotary Year. Let us all enjoy the fellowship of our rst meeting and let
us all start to LIGHT UP ROTARY!!!
LIGHT UP THE ROTARY YEAR 2014-2015
Welcome to the new Rotary Year! Together, let us Light Up Rotary under
the leadership of a very dedicated and enthusiastic Pres. Arnold Jayme.
This years R.I. theme Light Up Rotary invites us to inspire one another
to engage in Rotary projects. For RC Kalibo, our priorities this year
are service projects related to health and hunger, literacy and water
management. Pres. Arnold will present tonight in the club assembly the
thrust of D-3850 and the priority projects of our club for RY 2014-2015.
To ofcially commence the new Rotary Year, we shall have our Joint
Induction of the new set of ofcers of RC Kalibo and RC Metro Kalibo on
July 12, 2014, Saturday at 6:00 P.M. at Nenettes Garden, Roxas Avenue
Extension, Kalibo, Aklan. The theme of the induction is masquerade
ball and the attire is colorful ballroom costume. Pres. Arnold wants to
emphasize fellowship and fun in our induction program so we encourage
all the members to attend and enjoy the fellowship.
Tonight, our attendance is an afrmation of our commitment to Rotary
and to service above-self. Let us enjoy the fellowship and support one
another in Rotary as we continue to engage in communities touching
lives and making difference in peoples lives.
