ASEAN Year Consumer Fair 2013 Post Show Report
Dear friends and supporters of the ASEAN Year Consumer Fair,
The first-ever ASEAN Year Consumer Fair was held on 21

25
th
August 2013
at the BRIDEX Hall in Jerudong. With Brunei Darussalams chairmanship of
ASEAN at this time, it was the perfect opportunity to gather ASEAN member
countries together to showcase their products and services and cultures via
special-design pavilions and booths and performances to a wide and lucrative
Brunei market.
With the theme Inspiring an Asian lifestyle, the Fair also looked beyond the
ASEAN region and saw China and Yemen, amongst others, also participate.
Overall, 385 booths were housed and many parallel activities were run on
approximately 5,000 sq m of exhibition area.
Today I am pleased to present to you the official post show report of the ASEAN
Year Consumer Fair. This report includes valuable information not only for all
our exhibitors and visitors that attended the show but also for all loyal friends,
supporters and interested companies that would like to join us in the future. All
our statistics are based on on-site surveys and will provide you with a valuable
insight into what the professional buyers and general public are looking for.
Some highlights of the ASEAN Year Consumer Fair include:
Approximately 117,000 total visitors over its five days.
175 exhibitors took up 385 booths
Be Bold! Go Bald! Fund Raising Activity, Haunted House - Bloody Journey,
photography competition, Reebok Crossfit with Michael Mogard, Red Bull
activities and also Syarikat Aliaa Mi Goreng Eating Competition.

"The Brunei Consumer Fair is a great platform for us SMEs to promote and
showcase our products and services to the local market. As a first time
exhibitor, we were really impressed with the steady number and quality of
visitors to the fair during the week and even more so to our booth.
The exposure gained for our company was indeed invaluable and we had
enquiries from a wide variety of consumers. We thank the organisers for
