GOOD BUYS
Watermelons: This cool,
juicy fruit has shipments arriv-
ing daily from multple
sources including Georgia and
Southern California. Yellow
fesh are here too!
Limes: These summer favor-
ites have now hit a trough
afer a spring crisis. Order up!
Mangos: Beautful, great
buy and
Peaches, Nectarines, Red
and Black Plums, Pluots
and Apricots: Peak season
contnues for fresh stone
fruits from California. Great
color, texture, sugar content
and unbeatable prices!

Cantaloupes and honey-
dews: Prices have backed
of the recent highs due to
beter supplies from the
west. Quality is really good
out of California right now.
Eggplant: Reasonably
priced, in fact the best prices
in months for
Georgias frst picking.

Green Leaf, Red Leaf and
Boston Letuce: Good
harvest weather in the west
is boding well for these leafy
items.

WATCH
Raspberries: We remain in
the pro-rated situaton, but
luckily we have not run out.
Prices are up with tghtness.

Lemons: Very actve and
higher prices.

Asparagus: More actve
especially on Jumbos. Stand-
ards and Large sizes are also
up a bit. We have white
asparagus from Peru with no
problems.

Lychee nuts: First of these
exotc fruits available from
China but prices are high.
Romaine hearts and Ice-
berg Letuce: Higher de-
mand and tghter supplies are
driving up prices.

Red, Yellow and Orange
Peppers: Both the domestc
peppers and the 11 lb. im-
ports have skyrocketed this
week.

Brussels Sprouts:
Contnued high prices on pro-
ducton out of Mexico.

Caulifower: Sparse produc-
ton is causing market to be
high and tght.

Heirloom tomatoes: Stll
coming from Canada, very
nice quality but high!
KEEP IN MIND
Blueberries: We are featuring
full pints of local blueberries from
close in points in New Jersey and
the word on them is big, blue and
excellent quality!
Strawberries: The sugar con-
tent is fantastc now on strawber-
ries, but they are on the tght side
so prices have fuctuated a bit.
Stem berries are also in stock as
well.
Cherries: The word out of Wash-
ington is that their cherry crop
this year is the result of a perfect
spring with growing conditons
producing outrageous color and
favor and now the price is down!
Rainiers also available with notce.
Avocados: Steady prices and
good availability.
Juan Canaries, Galias, and
Orange Flesh Honeydews:
Mixed melons are here in quant-
tes and Cantaloupe and Honey-
dews have dropped in price with
good quality.
Broccoli and Broccoli Crowns:
The price is steady but on the high

LOCAL CORNER
Peaches: The frst of the local peaches are here from Crown
Orchards of Virginia.
Corn: Just in tme for the holiday, Thursday deliveries will
feature local white and yellow corn from Parker Farms.
Cucumbers: Local cukes are very nice and a welcomed addi-
ton with southern markets tght. Green beans are local, too!
Tuscan Kale, Baby Mixed Squash, Persian Cucumbers, Zuc-
chini and Yellow Squash: All in stock from Spring Valley
