Any application received with a personal cheque will be held until such time as the cheque clears, typically 7 to 10 days.

Applications are processed upon receipt. As such, we cannot change or cancel applications once received.

By signing this authorization, you are permitting Express Legal to request one or more Certificate(s) of Marriage
Your certificate(s) will be sent to you directly from the government agency. A completed and signed authorization
and a photocopy of one piece of government issued photo identification or two pieces of identification (one of
which must contain your signature) must be provided.
The identification must be valid (not expired) and belong to the applicant, showing name, document I.D. number
and expiry date. If possible, please enlarge the photocopy and make lighter so that the information is clear and
legible.
Please also provide the I.D. number(s) of the form of I.D. you are providing.
A clear photocopy of one current piece of photo identification with visible signature
(two if not photo identification) must be submitted with each application.
The identification must be from the person signing this authorization.

WHO CAN APPLY
Marriage certificates in Saskatchewan may be released to:
1. A party to the marriage whose name is on the marriage registration.
2. Any person with written authorization from a person whose marriage is registered.

Mailing Address: Marriage certificates are delivered by courier. Please provide a daytime address where the certificate can be delivered and
signed for. If you use a postal box number, you will receive a delivery notice.
If information is missing from the application or if additional information is required, we will contact the applicant by telephone or email.

Reason Certificate Required: Please specify why the marriage certificate is needed (Example: Divorce, etc...).
Last Name (before marriage): This must be the name listed on the marriage registration. If either party of the marriage registered the
marriage under a former married name, please insert that name here. If you have applied for and received a Change of Name Certificate
from the Provincial Government, please insert new name here.
PAYMENT INFORMATION
Small Marriage Certificate: Contains the full name of each spouse, date of marriage, place of marriage, registration number and
registration date.
Large Marriage Certificate: Contains the full name of each spouse, date of marriage, place of marriage, registration number and
registration date.
A receipt, along with your order information, will be issued and sent to you by email or mail.
All information submitted is strictly confidential and will not be used for any reason other than obtaining your marriage certificate.
