I. Introduction

. When new text messaging technologies appeared, they made people’s lives change a

lot.

. New messaging technologies affect people by ways that affects our relationship and

communication.

. New text messaging technologies give us benefits, and they also bring a lot of

harmful things for people, but it depends on the way people use it.

II. Body

A. New text messaging technologies give us benefits

1. Using emoticons can show your emotion, people can understand clearly,

because we don’t need to say specific language, just say some symbols, other people will

understand what you say .

2. New messaging technologies make you friendlier and happier, because

emoticons are used when you talk with your close friend.

3. New text messaging technologies are useful (it is short and easy to write, it

does not use a lot of space, and very easy to understand), and we can also use emoticons

in secret if we don’t want to say it clearly, don’t want to say to other people.

B. New messaging technologies also have harm which we should avoid.

 1. We use new text messaging technologies at a lot of communication

(Internet, text messaging, talking), so it becomes a thing that we are accustomed to use .

2. We can not use new text messaging technologies in serious context,

example, we should not use it when talking to older people, because new text messaging

technologies is very informal.

3. New text messaging technologies affect your language, your pronunciation,

you might have mistake when you write an essay or a letter, especially for people who

start to study English, new text messaging will make you confused.

C. People’s opinion about new text messaging technologies is different.

1. Older people do not like to use informal language or emoticons, and they

think it is not respectful, they are angry when they do not understand what the emoticons

mean.

2. Teenagers like new text messaging a lot, because it is a trend, it’s also

makes them feel younger, and they like benefits from new text messaging technologies.

3. New text messaging technologies are very common, we abuse it, a lot of

people use it in many conditions (talking with other people, writing on the essay and so

on).

III. Conclusion

. New text messaging technologies have both good side and bad side, so we have to

choose right context when we use new text messaging, don’t use it too much.

. New text messaging technologies is good or bad that follow the way people use it,

the users use it well_it’s good, in contrast that, if the users use it badly, so it’s bad.
