RECRUITMENT FOR THE POSTS OF INSPECTOR (HINDI TRANSLATOR)
Applications are invited fromIndian citizens (Male and Female) for filling up
following vacancies of General Central Service Group 'B' Non Gazetted (Non
Ministerial) on temporary basis likely to be permanent in the Indo-Tibetan Border
Police Force. The post has all India liability and selected candidates can be posted
anywhere in India and even abroad. On appointment, the candidate shall be governed
by the ITBPF Act and Rules.

3.P AY SCALE AND OTHER ALLOWANCES: -
Pay Scale - Pay Band 2, Rs. 9300 - 34800+ Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.
Other allowances:- The post will carry Dearness Allowance, Ration Money, Kit
Maintenance Allowance as admissible fromtime to time, Special Compensatory
Allowance while posted in specified border areas, free uniform, free
accommodation or HRA, Transport Allowance, Free leave pass and any other
allowance as admissible in the Force from time to time under the
rules/instructions. They will be covered under new Restructured Defined
contribution Pension scheme.

4. A candidate appearing for the test should mention/intimate if any criminal
case(s) is/are pending/lodged against him/her in any police station/Hon'ble court! any
criminal case decided against you by COUltof law.
5. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:-
(i) AGE: - Upto 30 Years. (i.e., not born before 15/07/1984).

request for its change will be considered or granted.

iii) Candidates who wish to be considered against vacancies reserved or seek
age relaxation must submit requisite certificate from the competent
authority, in the prescribed format when such certificates are sought by
the Recruitment Board. Otherwise, their claim for SC/ST status will not

General (UR) category.
iv) The formats of the certificates are annexed. Certificates obtained in any

8. MEDICAL STANDARDS:-

(ii) The candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in
eyes and they should possess' high colour vision. They must be in good mental and
bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient
performance of the duties.

(iii) An colour blind person will not eligible for appointment. If any stage of service
career, person is found to becolour blind, he will beboarded out as per SHAPE policy
Invogue.
(iv) Tattoos: - Any candidate" with a small engraving/tattoo of name or religious
symbol on the inner face of the arms or hands ispermitted for recruitment. Candidates
having permanent tattoo on any part of thebody will be debarred for recruitment.
9. HOW TO APPLY AND BY WHICH DATE:
Eligible and interested candidates should send their Applications (duly filled in
Hindi or English only) complete in all respects and Candidate's Admit Card duly
filled, in the prescribed proforma as per Annexure ']' and Annexure on'. The
application, either type written or neatly hand written in ink/ball pen, on one side only
on full size plain paper with passport size photographs affixed on application duly
attested by Gazetted Officer should be sent alongwith application fee, and enclosures
as in para-12 to the THE INSPECTOR GENERAL (Eastern) Frontier, ITB
Police, Sheela Complex, Vidhan Sabha Marg, Near Radio Station, Hazaratganj,
Lucknow (UP) Piil code - 226001 so as to reach on or before the prescribed last date
i.e. 15.07.2014 for all States except for Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh,
Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of J ammu &
Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District
of Himachal Pradesh, the Union Territory of Andaman &Nicobar Islands and
Lakshadweep for which last date is 22.07.2014.
10. APPLICATION FEE:
The candidates belonging to General and OBC category should pay the fee of
Rs. 50/- (Fifty only) (non-refundable) as application fee by means of "Central
Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)" only. CRFS stamps are available at the counter
of all Post Offices of the country. Recruitment Fee Stamps should be pasted on the
application form in the space earmarked for the purpose and got cancelled from the
Counter of Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the issuing Post Office in such
a manner that the impression or the cancellation stamps partially overflows on the
Application Form itself, taking care at the same time that the impression is clear and
distinct to facilitate the identification of date and Post Office of issue at any
subsequent stage.
Note: Application received with any other mode of fee payment will be summarily
rejected. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and females are
exempted frompaying fee.

a) Certificates about the educational qualifications, clearly showing the
subjects studied by the candidate and the medium of instruction at
Graduation and Post-Graduation level.
b) Date of birth Certificate (Matriculation or IOlh Class Certificate or
Certificate issued by National Open School /National Institute of Open
School as proof of date of birth.)
c) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Certificate (if belonging to any of these
categories) issued by an authority not lower than Tehsildar or SDM/SDO.
Note: - SC/ST Certificate, as applicable, must be in prescribed proforma
as given at Annexure - III.
d) Domicile Certificate issued by local revenue authorities or PAN Card or
Aadhaar Card or Driving License or Voter Card etc for verification of
citizenship.
e) Height! chest relaxation certificate asper annexure - IV, if applicable.
f) Two self-addressed envelope of 4"x9" size with Rs. 5/- postage stamp
affixed on the envelope. .
j) Envelope containing Application must be superscribed in bold letters
"APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF INSPECTOR (HINDI

Note: All the above relevant original documents!certificates are required to be
brought at the time of recruitment test.
I2. SELECTION PROCESS:
The candidates whose applications are found to be in order shall be issued
Admit Cards to appear inrecruitment test. The date and place of recruitment test
will be indicated in Admit card. Candidates will have to undergo the following
tests:

5. Interview-
The Candidates, who obtain the prescribed passing marks
20 Marks
in written examination, will be called for Interview to
check personal bearing, response, aptitude, general level of
intelligence etc.
Note:
Those who do not qualify any stage will get eliminated from the process
there only and will not be allowed to appear in further tests.
a) Merit List:
Merit lists for each category namely, Gen, SC and ST will be drawn on the basis
of combined marks obtained by the candidates inthe Written test and Interview.
The candidates shall be short listed for detailed Medical Examination (DME) as
per the category-wise vacancies onthe basis of this merit.
b) Resolution of Tie cases:
a) The tie is resolved by the Recruitment Board by referring to the total
marks in the Written Test & Interview as applicable i.e. a candidate
having more marks get preference over the candidate(s) with less marks.
b) If the tie still persists, the candidate older in age gets preference.
c) If the tie still persists, it is finally resolved by referring to the alphabetical
order of names i.e. acandidate who name begins with the alphabet which
comes first inthe alphabetical order gets preference.
c) CHECKING OF DOCUMENTS:
Testimonials of the candidates will be checked at the time of Detailed
Medical Examination (DME). Original documents will bereturned on the spot

after verification and attested photocopies of certificates will be retained with
the application. It is important that the candidates applying for this recruitment
check their eligibility, to avoid disappointment at later stage.
d) DETAILED MEDICAL EXAMINATION: .
Candidates shortlisted in order of merit will be put through a detailed
medical examination to assess their fitness as per medical policy issued by
MBA.
13. APPEAL IN CASE OF REJ ECTION IN DETAILED MEDICAL
EXAMINATION:
A candidate declared unfit in detailed medical examination if not satisfied
with the findings of the Medical Officer, can submit an application for his re-
medical examination with aduly filled Medical fitness certificate (at Annexure-
V) as a proof of evidence about the possibility of error of judgment on the part
of Recruitment Medical Officer.
I. The medical certificate will not be taken into consideration unless it
contains anote by the medical practitioner concerned to the effect that it
has been given in full knowledge of the fact that the candidate has already
been rejected as unfit for appointment inITBP by aMedical Officer.
II. The appeal will also not be taken into consideration unless it contains
Medical Re-Examination Fee of Rs. 25/- in form of Indian Postal Order
and Rejection Slip (original) issued by the Presiding Officer. RME fee in
the form of IPO should be prepared in the name of INSPECTOR
GENERAL (Eastern) Frontier, ITB Police.
iii. The appeal complete in all respects should be submitted within 15 days
fromthe date of issue of the communication i.e. Rejection Slip (ITBP will
not be responsible for any postal delay) in which the finding of the
Medical Officer are communicated to the candidate. The application for
re-medical examination shall be sent to THE INSPECTOR GENERAL
(Eastern) Frontier, ITB Police, Sheela Complex, Vidhan Sabha
Marg, Near Radio Station, Hazaratganj, Lucknow (UP) Pin code -
226001. The decision of the re-medical board of ITBP shall be final and

appeal will be entertained as per Govt. instructions. No reply of the
correspondence for second appeal will beconsidered/entertained.
14. Candidates who are already in Central/State Govt. service including
departmental candidates should send their application through proper channel with
"No Objection Certificate" fromtheir employer. Application received without proper
channel and "No Objection Certificate" will berejected.

15. No correspondence will be entertained from ineligible candidates whose
applications have been rejected.
16. Candidates belonging to physically handicapped category are not eligible to
apply for this post.

17. All disputes and differences, if any, will besubject tojurisdiction of Delhi only.
18. All eligible candidates will be duly informed about thc date and venue of the
recruitment tests through admit card. Candidates should come duly prepared for more
than one day stay under their own arrangements at the Recruitment Centre. The
Government shall not be responsible for damage/injury if any, to the individual
sustained during the Physical Efficiency Test, No TA/DA will be admissible.
Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected and no correspondence on
this will be entertained. No application after the last date as mentioned above will
be accepted.
