9. Place an adequate number of steel bollards around the storage area and refueling point as
required to prevent vehicles from bumping into the structures.

10. KTR shall provide the LPG tank, controls and packaged system and shall develop and
provide the additional information:

a. Tank fill and supply line calculations.
b. Tank vent sizing calculations as required.
c. Relief Valve sizing calculations.
d. Main firewater line sizing calculations.
e. Deluge System pipe sizing calculations.
2.8.2.3 ENTRY POINTS ASP BUILDING 126
Construct two (2) new entrances and approaches, one (1) at each end of the building based on the
provided drawings. Provide a canopy at the building existing center entry based on the provided
drawings in Appendix B-1. The features will include the following:
1. Excavate each building end wall and provide concrete retaining walls, 3500 mm apart,
(measured face to face), sloped to match grade that shall be tied into the building end walls, per
the provided drawings. The top of retaining walls shall be 200 mm above the adjacent grade.
2. Saw cut openings in the existing 360 mm concrete building walls at each end of the building, (no
overcuts will be allowed) and provide steel double doors (1920 mm x 2160 mm) matching
existing doors (D25) with a concrete apron ramp to the doors. Doors shall have all required
hardware to be operable and lockable. Aprons shall slope away from doorways.
3. Steel double doors shall be constructed of A36 steel plate and have a minimum exterior skin
thickness of 5 mm.
4. Provide paved access drives to each of the new entry aprons.
5. Compact retaining wall backfill material.
6. At the existing central entry ramp, provide a canopy based on the provided drawings, FP01a.
7. Provide a locking gate at each entry point, (3 total).
8. Provide retaining walls at entrance aprons per the site plan, until grade meets apron elevation
and allows for water to drain away from the entrances.
2.8.2.4 MAINTENANCE BAY RENOVATION, BUILDING 101
Construct permanent concrete infill and floor mounted steel plates to reduce the clear width of the
maintenance pits from 1200 mm to 900 mm, to fit ANP typical pick-up truck. Sawcut and remove the
existing 100 x 100 mm concrete curbs at the maintenance pit edges, grind concrete surfaces flush and
level for the installation of new steel plates. Install the concrete infill and steel plates as per the AED
Standard Vehicle Maintenance Pit details provided in Appendix B-1, as SK-1 drawing. Provide for all four
(4) maintenance pits.
2.8.2.5 BENCH IMPROVEMENTS, SAR BUILDING 130
Design and construct modifications to all workbenches in the existing Small Arms Repair (SAR) building.
Modifications will include:
1. Reinforce legs of workbenches for increased rigidity.
2. Add additional braces (steel angles) to corners of vertical braces under work benches to keep
vertical brace and legs together.
3. Cover all galvanized steel surfaces with corrosion/chemical resistant steel, 3 mm minimum
thickness. Grind, polish and seal all edges and seams. Seams shall not match existing seams
but shall be off set, to avoid seam failures & chemical absorption. Sides of counters and
workbenches shall be covered by steel to minimize chemical absorption. Top steel plate must
cover top of wood and edge. Steel surface must be secured to the workbench and counters. All
