Themis the goddess of order and justice 7. Iapetus father of Prometheus Epimetheus and Atlas 8. Atlas son of Iapetus and Clymene who stands in the far west and supports the sky upon his mighty shoulders 9. Prometheus a friend of mankind
The Twelve Olympian Gods:
1. Zeus (Jupiter) the rain-god, god of sky, of thunder and the thunderbolt 2. Poseidon (Neptune) supreme god of the sea 3. Hades (Pluto) also called as Dis, Orcus; gods of the underworld, husband of Persephone 4. Hera (Juno) protector of marriage, childbirth and the home; enemy of the Trojans 5. Hestia (Vesta) goddess of hearth (home), peace and family; Virgin of all Olympians and most peaceful and mild. 6. Ares (Mars) god of war; brutal, ferocious and blustering children to Aphrodite: Phobus, Deimus Harmonia 7. Athena (Minerva) virgin goddess of wisdom and the arts; special protector of Athens. She sprang into being fully formed and fully armed and uttering her war cry, from the forehead of Zeus. 8. Apollo (Phoebus-shining) god of the intellect, of arts, of healing and light. 9. Aphrodite (Venus) the goddess of love and beauty, mother of Eros (Cupid) 10. Hermes (Mercury) was the messenger and the herald of the gods; god of good luck and wealth, the patron of merchants and thieves. He is so precocious. He had left his cradle and invented the lyre (out of shell of the tortoise). He drove off fifty cows (of Apollo) making them walk backwards. 11. Artemis (Diana) twin of Apollo; virgin huntress goddess. The goddess of chastity and had the power of inflicting or healing sickness. Protector of unborn and newly born. 12. Hephaestus (Vulcan) husband of Aphrodite. He was the god of crafts, builder of palaces for the gods, forger of Zeus thunderbolts.
