Sitapatr School This week we are learning: In the classroom (2) Circle Time e!iew
In circle we will continue to recap fruit using games and flashcards. We will also look at the word eat, what it means and sing the songs I like to eat and Are you hungry We will continue to complete the weather !oard and look to see what the weather is like each day. "ow#s the weather is a great interacti$e $ideo%song to enhance all the weather types. &his week we will also look at instructions such as stand up, sit down, and line' up. Acti!ity Time (oca!ulary )encil, crayon, coloured pencil, marker, eraser, ruler, glue, scissors, !ook, paper, !oard, !in, chair, ta!le, desk, door, lights, clock, window, *d player, pen Sentence structure+ What is it It is a ,ames and Acti$ities &his week we will co$er any of the $oca!ulary which wasn#t co$ered in week one and continue to practice and recap the $oca!ulary that was. We will play games with the items themsel$es -where possi!le. and with flashcards. /ne game will in$ol$e setting up two lines%teams and I will call an instruction such as hop, or 0ump and then call an item such as a pencil. &he children will listen and ha$e fun performing the action to the correct o!0ect and racing their opponent. We will also play a matching or pairs card game with pictures of classroom o!0ects where the children will need to identify the o!0ects and state whether they are the same. &he sentence structure will !e practiced !y holding up three fingers and saying each word as we count down with each finger. Songs Wind the 1o!!in 2p Phonics "ew letters an# s$un#s &he sounds and songs of the )hase three 3olly )honics programme ha$e !een successfully learnt so we will now start to look at the last set of letter sounds which will include 30 ,45, Ww, ($, 6y, 78, 9:. e!iew We will continue to recap the phase three sounds ,g, /o, 2u, ;l, <f and 1! to ensure all children are familiar and happy with all the letter sounds. &he letter sym!ols will also !e introduced so that the children realise that we are focusing on a letter when we sing and make the sound. ;ater in the week we will start to learn the new songs and look at the new flashcards for the last set of sounds -please refer to new letters and sounds.. We will play $arious games to test knowledge and recognition of each sound. Writing %ractice In phonics this week we will not !e focussing on writing.
