Dear Praying Friends,

As you have heard, in Jan/Feb of this year, I was able to visit the
Rich family, missionaries in Kabwe, Zambia. While in Zambia, I took part
in ministries of Independent Baptist Church by attending services, going
out on ladies visitation, observing Sunday School and Junior church.
While there, I saw that the ministry was growing and that there is a need
for more laborers in the harvest field of Kabwe.
At the end of February, I packed up all of my household & ministry
items for storage in South Africa and came back to the USA for furlough.
I have only been here 10 weeks and it seems like I have been here too
long!
During the last few months, I have been: serving in my local
church in a multitude of ministries, taking courses and obtained certifica-
tion for TESL/TEFL (Teaching English as a Second Language), and I am
working on writing a Zulu Bible Book for children (to be given out freely by
missionaries working among the Zulu people).
After much prayer, consultation with my pastor, and correspond-
ence with the Rich family, the Lord has made it clear that going to Zambia
is the next step for my life & ministry. I have been asked to serve with the
Richs in Zambia for a 1 year term, with the possibility of continuing to
serve there fulltime. In Zambia, I will be involved in: Sunday School and
Junior church classes, ladies ministries and the starting of a Christian
School, along with various other ministries. I am very excited about this
opportunity and look forward to seeing what the Lord will do in Zambia!
My plans are to leave in Sept/Oct to get set-up for the start of their school
year in January.
