2. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s).

Positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose.
Intake camshaft adjuster solenoid switch connector

Exhaust camshaft adjuster solenoid switch connector
Disconnect the intake camshaft position (CMP) sensor connector
Disconnect the exhaust camshaft position (CMP) sensor connector

Item 11 : Cylinder head cover
1. NOTE: Install new cylinder head cover gasket as
necessary.
Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown, in three
stages.
Screw in bolt 1 by three to four turns.
Tighten bolts 1 to 13 to 3 Nm.
Tighten bolts 1 to 13 to 9 Nm.
Item 10 : Spark plug lead
1. CAUTION: Use suitable blunt object to avoid
damaging the spark plug connector seal. Coat the
inside of the spark plug connector with silicone
grease to a depth of 5 - 10 mm.
Clip the spark plug lead to the cylinder head cover.
Item 2 : Intake camshaft adjuster solenoid switch connector
1. Clip the wiring harness to the cylinder head cover.
