Toronto is Canadas largest and most

SIGHTSEEING IDEAS
Toronto Zoo The Toronto Zoo received a
pair of giant pandas Er Shun and Da
Mao through a conservation partnership
agreement with China. The pandas are on
exhibit at the Toronto Zoo.
St. Lawrence Market Named by
National Geographic Magazine as the top
food market in 2012; the market is a
bustling food mecca complex with antique
dealers, retail shops and over 120
independent specialty food vendors.

CN Tower The CN Tower stands at 1,815
feet and provides spectacular views of the
city. A must see!
Niagara Falls Take a day trip to see the
Falls and include a stop at Niagara-on-the-
Lake where you can schedule a tour to visit
local wineries and sample the local wines of
the Niagara region.

Come to Toronto!
TORONTO 2014
Lions and their guests are invited to attend
the International Convention to be held in
Toronto, Canada. The convention dates are:
Friday, July 4 Tuesday, July 8, 2014.
LCIs exhibit hall and most convention
events will take place in the South Building
of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre
(MTCC).
The International Show and all three
convention plenary sessions will be at the
nearby Air Canada Centre.

CONVENTION HIGHLIGHTS

The 2014 convention in Toronto will have a
great variety of cultural events and programs
including:
PARADE
The International Parade of Nations will be
held on Saturday, July 5
th
. Join in the fun of
celebrating Lionism to the sound of
marching bands and the viewing of colorful
native dress.

SEMINARS
Attend educational and informative
seminars on topics such as:
-Club and district leadership
-Leo and youth programs
-Programs for women in Lionism
-Membership growth offering proven
techniques and ideas

INTERNATIONAL SHOW
A highlight of convention week, the
International Show featuring performer Neil
Sedaka will be held at the Air Canada
Centre. Attendance is open to all registered
attendees.

MELVIN JONES FELLOWSHIP
LUNCHEON Monday, July 7
th

This recognition luncheon honors Melvin
Jones Fellows. It includes a tribute and
presentation of awards to 100% Melvin
Jones clubs and individuals who supported
LCIF. There is also a video presentation.
Attendance is open to MJF Lions and their
guests.

DISTRICT GOVERNOR BANQUET
Monday July 7

All current District Governors and Past
District Governors are invited to an evening
of festivities and fellowship on Monday
evening at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel.
