1. Introduction When you first connect to the WTS environment used for the exercises in GW100, you will first need to perform a few simple configuration steps before starting the exercises. 2. Initialise the GW100 Environment 1. Select Initialise GW100 Environment from the Start ! Programs ! SAP NetWeaver menu option. This action copies a file called !"#$$%&'( into your )*+,- /01234567 directory. 2. Select Start ! My Documents ! My Documents 3. Unzip !"#$$%&'( into the current directory 4. This will create the following 4 directories and 2 shortcuts: 8% %98(81:4;603186;<%$%=<9 >% %941?'(74;78(2'@9 1% %9,0&'??8 A'B4C0D9 E% %9"0BF7(8149 4% G1?'(74 H IJKLM@ C% A'B4C0D

3. Install Firefox Add-ons 1. Double click on the Firefox shortcut in the )*+,- /01234567+ directory. 2. Two add-ons need to be installed, so select Tools ! Add-ons
3. In the search field in the top right corner of the screen enter Firebug and press enter. 4. At the time of writing this training course (May, 2012) version 1.9.1 of Firebug was the current version. 5. Click on the Install button next to Firebug 1.9.1 (or whatever the latest version is). 6. You can restart Firefox now if you wish, or wait until after the second add-on is installed. 7. The next add-on to install is the RESTClient. However, we do not want to install the latest version of the RESTClient! This is because at the time this training course was written, there were several bugs in the 2.0.x versions of the RESTClient, so the older version 1.3.4 was used instead. Also, all the screen shots in the exercise documents match version 1.3.4 of the REST client rather than version 2.0.x. 8. Close the Add-ons tab and in the Google search field enter restclient 1.3.4 9. Usually the second item in the search results points to the web page containing the version history of this add-on.

12. Finally, go back to the Add-ons page by selecting Tools ! Add-ons. Here, we need to tell Firefox not to helpfully upgrade your older add-ons automatically. 13. To the left side of the search field in the top right corner of the screen is a Settings icon shaped like a gear wheel. Select this and make sure that the option Update Add-ons Automatically is switched off. 14. Restart Firefox. 15. You will now see a Firebug icon at the right side of the tool bar next to the home button.
16. In the Tools menu, you will see an option for the RESTClient.
17. The setup for Firefox is now complete.

4. Configure Tomcat Custom Port Numbers All participants on the GW100 course share a single WTS environment, so in order for each participant to be able to start and stop their own independent instance of the Apache Tomcat server, custom port numbers must be used. 1. Double click on the Eclipse shortcut in the )*+,- /01234567+ directory. 2. When Eclipse starts, you will see that there are already 3 projects in your workspace and a Servers node. 3. Expand the Servers node and double click on 74BN4B%D3?. 3 port numbers need to be changed. These are the: Shutdown port (default 8005) HTTP Connector port (default 8080) AJP Connector port (default 8009) 4. On line 20 you will see: ;;OPI4BN4B (0B6QRS$$@R 7:26E0T5QRIULV/W")RO Change 8005 to 9000 + your group number 5. On line 64 you will see: PX0554160B 1055416'05V'34026QR=$$$$R (0B6QRS$S$R (B06010?QRUVVK9#%#R B4E'B416K0B6QRSYYZR9O Change 8080 to 9100 + your group number 6. Finally on line 83, you will see PX0554160B (0B6QRS$$[R (B06010?QRJ\K9#%ZR B4E'B416K0B6QRSYYZR9O Change 8009 to 9200 + your group number 7. Save and close file 74BN4B%D3?. 8. Under the Servers node in your workspace, right click on Tomcat v7.0 Server at localhost-config and select Refresh. 9. You will now be able to start and stop Tomcat without the port numbers used by your instance clashing with anyone elses port numbers.
