There is a broad range of
colours that are used in this
infographic. It makes it look
fun and catches your eye really easily. Though the base colour is very
ineffective as the graphics used are coloured similarly and it is does
not allow the graphics to be bold and stand out individually.
Icons used are very simple and clean cut, they add to the
Four sources were sought out in producing this
infographic. After searching them up, I found them to

courses in England. As this is an infographic about

used adjectives and verbs in advertising. It is found to
The content of this infographic is purely objective.
There are many facts found when reading it but no
opinions are being presented.
After looking at the content of this infographic, it seems that the target
audience would range from the English Language student to the average adult.
It could be implied that anyone would be attracted by colours and pictures
and that is what infographics do, they condense large texts and depict them in
a way that would be enjoyable and entertaining to view. The colours and
graphics would certainly attract students looking for a distraction and any
adult eager to add something fun to what might be a boring day.
As it says in the introduction, the creator has broken
down language by using images and graphics to
portray what a dense paragraph could and the
information given is very easy to understand. When studying
language, there are terms referred to that are not commonly used
in the average persons conversation. The creator succeeded to
avoid terms like syntax, semantics and morphemes except in the
one sentence that is under the heading Anatomy Of A Slogan.
Because the infographic is quite long and not many facts stand
out, it is hard to retain what information you gain from
viewing it. But remembering things solely depend on the
persons interests. For example, fans of Michael Phelps might
remember that he once endorsed Subway and people who are feeling
hungry may remember the phrase Peaches & Cream.

Infographic Analysis Pt. 2
There are four main
colours which are
involved in the
colour palette of
this infographic; beige, dark
brown, chocolate brown and a
leaf green. The colour green is
generally referred to as a
calming colour and with the
brown, it nicely complements
the idea of tea leaves. The
images are very simple and
there is a flow chart feel to the
lay out of the infographic that
makes it very easy to follow and
read. One of the two typefaces

There is no source referenced for this infographic so it
can be inferred that the content is based on the
creators knowledge and views. The information di spl ayed
is all related to the subject of teaching someone how to make tea. Tea is
the second most popular beverage and it is not that hard to make. So
comparing the instructions in the infographic with their own personal
knowledge, they can see that the method shown is the most general way to
brew tea and so the content is deemed reliable. Although, there are many
types of tea and with some types, you do not serve with milk. Nor do you
pour away a freshly brewed cup.
Since this infographic was made accordingly to the creators views, there are some opinions that can be found when
reading it. Starting with the titles of each type of tea being brewed; Builders, Posh and Hippy. Immediately from these
three words, you can tell what the creator thinks of each type of tea. Another view point is found when following the
instructions on how to brew Leaves and Twigs. At the end of the process, it says to pour the tea away meaning that
the author of this infographic does not drink tea brewed from leaves and twigs and thinks that no one should drink
it either. Looking at the procedure of brewing a teabag, this person seems to have a sweet tooth because at the end, is
tells us to add four sugars which is quite a lot. It seems that loose leaf tea is the only tea that the author can drink
s t r ai ght and i s t hei r favourite tea. The message about the creators views of tea is conveyed very clearly as a
result of the layout and the boldness
and size of the typeface.
This infographic has a very general target audience since although the
content focuses on tea, it does not appeal to only tea-drinkers since there is
humour incorporated into it. But of course, children would have no interest
and they would most likely not understand the jokes that the author put in.
The information is very easy to
understand since the content is
ver y direct and blunt as
instructions should be. Short
sentences containing only the
main clause are used

subordinate clauses.
There is no use of complicated

Due to the fact that the
sentences a short and
concise, the content is
very easy to remember. People also tend
to remember things that are funny and
with this infographic incorporating
humour with the information, there
may be a lot of people who remember
the data of this infographic.
