Kia Motors Corporationhas sales of over 2.7 million vehicles in 2012 and almost 2.75
million vehicles in 2013. Why so many sales? Here are some reasons:
1. In a Motor Trend shootout of full-size sedans, including the Toyota Avalon and the Chrysler
300S, the Cadenza came out on top.
2.Safety first, KIA ACHIEVES AWARD-WINNING SAFETY RATINGS. Every Kia has front
seat-belt pretensioners, dual front airbags, front seat-mounted side airbags, and many more ad-
vanced safety systems. The 2013 model line earned top safety ratings from the National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and/or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
3.KIA RECEIVES THE 2014 KELLEY BLUE BOOK BRAND IMAGE AWARD FOR 'BEST
VALUE BRAND'driven primarily by the Optima, Rio, Soul, and Forte modelson affordability
and fuel efficiency.
4.KIA RANKED IN THE TOP 50 BEST GLOBAL GREEN BRANDS 2013
5. Kia Motors America (KMA) is a 2013 RECIPIENT OF THE PRESTIGIOUS SMALL BUSI-
NESS INSTITUTE FOR EXCELLENCE IN COMMERCE (SBIEC) Special emphasis is given
to companies that meet and exceed industry benchmarks for product quality, customer service and
ethical practices.
6. Kia Motors America is ONE OF ONLY THREE AUTO BRANDS TO INCREASE U.S.
SALES IN EACH OF THE PAST FOUR YEARS, and in 2012 the company surpassed the
500,000 unit mark for the first time.
7.BUILT IN USA: Over the past decade Kia Motors has invested more than $1.4 billion in the
U.S., including the companys first U.S. assembly plant in West Point, Georgia Kia Motors
Manufacturing Georgia which is responsible for the creation of more than 11,000 plant and
supplier jobs. In 2012, KMA recorded its best-ever annual sales total and gained U.S. market
share for the 18th consecutive year.
8. KIA HAS PROVEN ITELF ON THE RACE TRACK. Kia Racing duo Mark Wilkins and
Nick Jnsson scored back-to-back podium finishes in rounds three and four of the Pirelli World
Challenge at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, AL. in April. Wilkins took a pivotal lead late
in the round-three race and came out victorious with the win. Jnsson followed with a strong
second-place finish in the fourth round. The Kia Racing team now leads the Manufacturer Cham-
pionship standings ahead of Porsche, Ford, and Chevy. And in an impressive debut, Rookie Jason
Wolfe scored his first podium finish in the Touring Car A class with our #36 Richard Wolfe Truck-
ing Kinetic Motorsports Forte Koup.
Information about Kia Motors America and its full vehicle line-up is available at its website
www.kia.com. Also, SEE THE KIA LINE-UP AT ALDERMANS KIA IN RUTLAND.

Dancer is a very timid girl. She is a mature adult,
and has been at the shelter
for at least 6 years because
she is so shy. She loves to
hide in her little cat snuggle
cube, where she feels
warm and safe. She does
like to be pet on her head,
and will purr! She does like
to occasionally come out
and explore, but when she
feels insecure, she jumps
right back in her house.
Dancer would do best in a
home without other animals, or with another calm,
older cat. She needs a home where she will be able
to hide and feel safe. As an older cat, she would
love a quiet home to retire to, and where she may be
able to feel herself.
Ginger is about 2 years old and
heart worm negative. She has
been fostered at the shelter and
is a favorite with everyone. She
can be somewhat timid, but is
very sweet.
Waggles is very calm and gets
along with everyone. She is
not much of a barker and would
love to join a family. She is 6
months old and weighs about
20 pounds.

CAMBRIDGE HISTORICAL SOCIETY & MUSEUM
HOLDS SECOND WEDNESDAY NIGHT SUMMER PRO-
GRAM On Wednesday, July 16, Mr. Gerry Holzman, well-known
wood carver, will present a program entitled, The Sounds of Carv-
ing the Power of Words. In this illustrated lecture, Mr. Holzman
will use portraits and quotations from the Empire State Carousel to
show how well-chosen words can often affect the course of history.
Prominent among the 12 portraits being featured will be our own
Grandma Moses of Eagle Bridge. He will also provide an update on
the status of Cambridges own carousel. Another highlight of the
evening will be the first public showing of Mr. Holzmans recently
completed carving of Pete Seeger, the late folk singer who so effec-
tively used the power of song to enrich America. Petes portrait will
be formally dedicated at the Farmers Museum in Cooperstown in
September of this year. Since 1984, Mr. Holzman has been the head
carver and chief consultant for the Empire State Carousel. Aptly
described as a museum you can ride on, the carousel is on perma-
nent display at the Farmers Museum in Cooperstown, New York. A
partial list of his carving work is represented at Disney World (Or-
lando), South Street Seaport (NYC), New York State Historical As-
sociation, and numerous private collections in the United States and
the United Kingdom, just to mention a few.
On July 16; the Museum will open at 6:00 p.m. for tours and the
program will begin at 7:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

MOZARTS MARRIAGE OF FIGARO with Peter Subers,
Mark Buckholtz, and singers from Hubbard Hall Opera Theater
Join Music from Salem on Sunday, July 20, 4pm at Hubbard Hall
for a discussion of Mozarts joyous comic opera The Marriage of
Figaro. From the dizzying opening notes of its overture to its glorious
final ensemble, this masterwork is foremost about love: married
love, parental love, lost love, neglected love, misplaced love, love
gone astray, unrequited love and love that is ultimately forgiving
and redemptive - all in the space of a single madcap day! But his
characters are not just sweet, funny and furious; in them we
recognize our own humanity and end up caring profoundly about
what happens to them. Mozart wraps the story with music that is
enchanting, witty and wise, and that has charmed us since the first
time it was heard in 1786. And a very special treat guest artists
from Hubbard Hall Opera Theater will delight us with their fabulous
singing, in anticipation of their production of the opera at Hubbard
Hall in August. Open to all. No musical background necessary; just
come and enjoy! The July 20 Listening Club will take place at
4:00pm at the Hubbard Hall Mainstage, 25 E. Main St., Cambridge,
NY. Cost is $10. Pay at door, or make reservations at
www.hubbardhall.org or 518-677-2495 Located at 25 East Main
Street in Cambridge, NY. For more information on this and all
Hubbard Hall programs, or to purchase tickets, register for classes,
