Dr. Fixit Primeseal SB
Description
Dr. Fixit Primeseal SB is composed of solvent-based acrylic polymer, properly selected filler & additives. It is used
as primer for exterior & interior surface of new masonry and old chalky surfaces before applying top coat of
water-based or solvent-based exterior or interior paints. It dries very fast with excellent adhesion properties and
better water & alkali resistance.

Method of Application
1 SURFACE PREPARATI ON
}
The surface should be sound and bone dry.
}
The surface should be free of dirt, dust, oil, grease, mould, curing compound, bituminous materials and coatings.
}
Clean the cementitious surface by wire brushing. Remove the dust by pressurized air or by brooming.
}
Degrease oil and grease by degreasing solvents like xylene, toluene, acetone etc from metal surface.
}
Wash the surface with plain water thoroughly to remove dirt and dust. Allow the surface to dry completely.
}
All surface cracks up to 5 mm width should be filled up with Dr. Fixit Crack-X range products. The cracks more
than 5 mm and all separation gaps should be filled up with Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP modified mortar.
2 APPLI CATI ON
}
Dilute Dr. Fixit Primeseal SB with mineral turpentine in proportion 2:1 and stir well until a uniform consistency is
achieved.
}
Apply a single coat of diluted Dr. Fixit Primeseal SB on the cleaned substrate. Allow it to dry for 2 to 3 hrs before
commencing to further finish coats of Dr. Fixit Concrete Guard.
}
Light cut with sandpaper the coating of Dr. Fixit Primeseal SB before commencing the finish coats on
internal walls.
Precautions & Limitations
}
Dr. Fixit Primeseal SB diluted by mineral turpentine, but do not over thin the product more than the
recommendations.
}
All substrates should be primed with Dr. Fixit Primeseal SB before application of finish coat.
}
Not to be applied over damp or wet surfaces.
}
Do not apply during rains or in hot sunny day. Do not tint the primer.
