With more than 30 years in the industry, Charlie
spent six years as a paramedic and is in his 24th
year with Denver Fire. Charlie has worked
with multiple fire departments in the Rocky
Mountain Region on fire streams and hydraulics.
KEITH WATSON
Regional Manager | Hydraulic Specialist,

Prior to joining ShurSales & Marketing, Keith spent
12 years with Scott Safety and overall has more than
25 years of experience in the fire-service industry.
Keith began his career in the U.S. Navy (E6) with
expertise in Advanced Electronics, Anti-Submarine
Warfare, and Shipboard Firefighting.
JEFF DEETZ
Lieutenant, Clackamas (OR) Fire District
With 33 years of fire service experience, Jeff is an
active firefighter & member of the technical rescue
team. Certifications include Fire Officer IV, Rescue
Company Officer, Pumper Operator, Instructor III,
and Firefighter II. Jeff teaches classes addressing
firefighter survival techniques, truck company
operations, and basic engine company operations.
DAVE MORGAN
CAL FIRE, San Bernardino,
Southern California
With extensive certifications and varied background,
highlights of Daves firefighting career include 10
years with London Fire Brigade & three years with
USFS as Wildland Firefighter. Currently, Dave is
an active professional firefighter for CAL FIRE
San Bernardino County and also a California State
Instructor in Auto Extrication, Fire Control and
Swift Water Rescue, in addition to his position with
TNT Rescue.

Vice President of L & M Training Consultants
A 21-year career firefighter with Glenview Fire
Department, IL, Mac has represented Elkhart Brass and
L&M Training at national meetings; conducted hands-on
training sessions for Florida Fire Chiefs Foundation from
2003 2011; and is a former NFFF Structural Attack and
Training Committee Member. Certifications include:
FFIII, Haz-Mat, Special Rescue, Instructor 1 and 2.
TROY ARTHUR
Phoenix Fire Department
A 29-year member of Phoenix Fire Department,
Troy was instrumental in establishing the
Metropolitan Medical Response Team for Arizona
statewide after 9/11. Troy is an instructor of
Hydraulics and Apparatus at Arizona Colleges;
teaches WMD, Terrorism, and Hazardous Materials
Technician classes for the Phoenix FD; and is a
member of FEMA AZ-TF1.
PAUL SHAPIRO
Engineer, Las Vegas Fire Department, Retired
Paul specializes in research, development, and
training of large-flow water delivery systems and
fire-stream management. Pauls extensive research
and outcomes of large-diameter hose is published
frequently in fire service trade magazines. Paul is
also the author of the popular book Layin the Big
Lines, a book on large-flow water delivery.
GEORGE WEBB, TRACY J. RAYNOR
Maltese Fire Training
Webb and Raynor co-founded Maltese Fire
Training, which is focused on enhancing firefighter
safety and skills. Maltese Fire Training continues
to review current and past practices while testing
new theories and skills. Chief Webb and Chief
Raynor ensure instructors are qualified, competent,
motivated, and educators.
