BIOGRAFIA DE ROMEO SANTOS

Anthony Romeo Santos, mejor conocido simplemente como Romeo, naci el 21 de

julio de 1981 en El Bronx, Nueva York, EE.UU., pero se considera mitad dominicano y
mitad puertorriqueo, ya que su padre es dominicano y su madre de Puerto Rico. l es
cantante, compositor y fue el vocalista y compositor principal de la agrupacin de
bachata Aventura. En el 2011 se lanz como solista.
Como integrante del grupo Aventura, Romeo Santos ha sido clave en la popularizacin
de la msicabachata a nivel internacional, llevando canciones al top de las listas
de Billboard Latino y a los charts de Europa.

Primeros aos
Los inicios musicales de Romeo se remontan desde los 12 aos de edad cuando
comenz cantando en el coro de la iglesia. Desde esa edad compone sus propias
canciones. Segn cuenta su aficin al ritmo bachatero desde que tena seis aos.
Romeo dice: me gustaba la bachata aun cuando el gnero no era popular, eran los
tiempos de Blas Duran y a m me atraa el sentimiento que expresaba.
Antes de formar Aventura admito que era un asco y todo lo que cantaba no era ms
que basura, cantaba en un grupo llamado Los Tinellers (que hace referencia la
pronunciacin de la palabra anglosajona, "teenagers", que significa adolescentes),
sacando un disco llamado Trampa de amorcon tan slo 14 aos.

Como compositor

Como compositor, Romeo sigui los pasos de grandes leyendas musicales como por
ejemploAntony Santos y Blas Durn. Con una voz suave y melodiosa, Romeo junto
a su primo y dos amigos forma la banda "Aventura", grupo que termin por
consagrarse con el tema Obsesin, cancin que narra la historia de un hombre que
busca desesperadamente a una chica la cual est de novia con otro hombre.

Carrera artistica

Luego de cosechar grandes xitos como compositor y cantante principal de Aventura,
en abril de 2011, Romeo anunci su separacin de la agrupacin para lanzarse como
solista. El 9 de mayo, Romeo lanz su primer sencillo titulado "You" de su primer
lbum Frmula. La cancin se convirti en nmero uno en la lista de Hot Latin Songs
y Tropical Songs.

Romeo es el compositor de casi todas las canciones ms populares de lo que fue el
grupo Aventura. Tambin ha escrito xitos para artistas como Wisin & Yandel ("Noche
de sexo"), Thala (No, no, no), Hctor Acosta ("Me voy"), Antony
Santos ("Mtame"), Don Omar (" Ella y Yo"), entre otros.

Vida personal

Romeo se caso a los 20 aos con una joven puertorriquea llamada Samanta
Medina. El matrimonio fracaso y se divorciaron a los cinco aos.
Romeo es padre de un hijo llamado lex. El cantante era slo un adolescente cuando
se enter que su ex novia estaba embarazada. Al principio, el bachatero confes que
no siempre fue un padre y al principio incluso le dio la espalda a su hijo. Pero ahora ya
lo reconoci y mantiene una relacin con l.

Anthony Romeo Santos, better known simply as Romeo, was born on July 21, 1981 in
The Bronx, New York, USA, but is considered half Dominican and half Puerto Rican,
and his father is Dominican and her mother from Puerto Rico . He is a singer,

PERSONAL LIFE

Romeo was married at age 20 with a young Puerto Rican named Samantha Medina.
The marriage failed and they divorced after five years.
Romeo is the father of a son named Alex. The singer was just a teenager when he
learned that his ex girlfriend was pregnant. At first, the bachatero confessed that it was
not always a father and at first even turned his back to his son. But now recognized
and maintained a relationship with him.
