all the children and teachers. He knows the routines and rules in our classroom. He has been ex- ploring all the learning areas in our classroom. We have a shelf with Montessori practical life activities. Furqan love doing all those activities. Every morning he involved himself with all those activities one after another. Furqan likes the activity - sieving the flour. The activity in- cludes a big bowlful of flour mixed with grain. The children has to sieve the flour to separated the grain and put the grain in another bowl. It is a very popular activity. All the children love doing this activity. Furqan has very good concentration. He is an extraordinary artist, he can spend an hour to col- our a picture to perfection, that nobody in our class ever able to do that. I have noticed that when Furqan concentred on colouring, he can sit in a noisy room and do that, nothing would disturb him. He likes to use scissors often and developing his scissors skills and hand-eye co-ordination.
What next? We will make sure that Furqan get the oppor- tunities to develop his skills further. We will provide learning experiences to meet his individual needs. Make sure he increases his art skills without disruption by other children Written byTeacher Rosy May, 2014

In our An-Nur Child Care centre children have opportunities to do practical life activities. Practical life activities are those activities which people normally do in using and maintaining the home environment, e.g carring a tray with objects in it, pouring, spooning, using tongs etc. Most important and interesting ac- tivity in our classroom is preparing fruit for morning tea. Forqan shows keen interest in pre- paring fruit for morning tea. When Furqan sees fruit in the table ready to be cut or when I asked, Who would like to cut fruit today? Very often he come and say, I want to. He knows that we have to wash our hands before we prepare fruit. So he washes his hands without I asked him to do so. Furqan knows how to hold a knife with one hand and make a tunnel with other hand, so that the knife can go inside the tun- nel to slice the fruit. Sometimes he pushes the knife with other hand until the knife touches the chopping board. He is getting better with the tong. He understands now that when he uses the tong sideways it works batter than when he uses it upwards. Throughout this activity Furqan is learning to cut fruit, He is also increasing hand-eye co-ordination, concrntration,, independence, learning how to handle a sharpe knife and developing ability to control hand movement as he using a pair of tongs, Written byTeacher Rosy, 15 June, 2014
