Canto Mobile Application for iPad Canto is the mobile solution for accessing the ECUP EHR from a tablet. With Canto, you can access patient charts, review your schedule, review patient results, graph the results, review Care Everywhere documents, viewing and working in your InBasket, and taking and uploading clinical photographs directly to the patients chart. Canto can be downloaded and installed on your device from the App Store on Apple devices. Configuring Your Device If you are trying to configure your device for use with Canto while on an ECU network, you must be connected to the Buccaneer network. Because the Pirate network is an open, unsecured network, data would not be completely secure, therefore, ECU has blocked Canto access through Pirate. To configure your device: 1. On your device, navigate to Settings and choose Canto. 2. Fill out the following settings: a. HTTPS: ON b. Server: canto.vidanthealth.com c. Path: Mobile Logging In After configuring your device you are ready to begin using Canto. 1. Tap the Canto icon on your device. 2. Log in with your usual EHR login ID and password. 3. The default login department that you will log in to will always be the last department you logged into on the Desktop EHR.
The Dashboard Upon logging in to Canto the user will be on the Dashboard. From here the user can open patient charts, view his schedule, and open InBasket folders. At the bottom of the dashboard, it shows who is logged in and which department they are logged in to.
