In 2009, Westfalia's pilot plant was laun-
ched, an innovation centre where the
most critical development processes for
our products come together, both in
terms of space and personnel.
The close proximity of everyone involved
in the process is an important step in
increasing the effectiveness of project
management.
In an area of 3500 m on two stories,
every opportunity is provided to enable
the maximum cooperation and commu-
nication among the five project teams.
The teams are supported by students
from technical universities.
State of the art design and production processes,
including 3D CAD systems, numerous welding robots,
laser cutting systems, and CNC processing centres
ensure custom-tailored, high quality and perfectly fit-
ting towbars.
To meet our high standards for quality in corrosion
protection, we apply cathodic dip coating to our tow-
bars. In our own labs, the products are tested accor-
ding to vehicle standards EC 94/20, ECE R55 and
Carlos TC.
The logistic centre provides the just-in-time delivery
for our OE and OES customers and a 24-hour service
for the aftermarket. Up to 120,000 towbars are sent
out every month.
