Im applying Early Action.

What can I
expect?
Students applying Early Action must have
a complete application in the Ofce of
Undergraduate Admission by November 15.
Important Note: Due to time constraints any
Early Action application which is not com-
plete by November 15 will be moved into the
general admission pool.

My senior year - does it count?
Senior year does count!
A strong academic program and strong
achievement can be very signifcant when
we make our fnal decision on your applica-
tion.

Ive applied to Art, or Music, or The-
atre: Is there anything special I need to
do?
Your acceptance to New Paltz will be based
only on your high school academic record.
Please do not send art work, slides, CDs,
DVDs, or portfolios to the Ofce of Under-
graduate Admission. Tis material will not
be considered when making the admission
decision and will not be forwarded to the
art, music or theatre departments.
With your acceptance letter will be infor-
mation on how to submit your art portfolio
or how to schedule your music or theatre
audition.
Te results of the portfolio evaluation and/
or audition/interview are used to place you
in your frst semester courses.
Im applying through EOP, what do I
need to do?
Forward your ofcial high school transcript
and ofcial SAT or ACT scores directly to
the Ofce of Undergraduate Admission, not
the EOP Ofce.
Complete and send the New Paltz EOP
Financial and Family Questionnaire, avail-
able at www.newpaltz.edu/eop
A fnal admission decision will not be made
without all the above information.
Is my application complete?
A complete application is:
Your application (SUNY Application or
Common Application, but not both);
Your ofcial high school transcript;
Ofcial SAT and/or ACT scores;
Your personal essay;
One letter of recommendation from your
counselor/ or teacher.

Can I check the status of my application?
Yes, log on to my.newpaltz.edu. after creating
your account as noted in the acknowledge-
ment email.
May I submit additional information?
You are encouraged to submit additional
information (school/community activities
resume, list of honors/awards, etc.).
If you wish this additional information to
be considered with your application, be sure
it is submitted at the same time as all the
required application material.
If your application is complete (as described
above), a decision may be made with or
without the additional material you wish to
send.
Tis information is submitted directly to
the New Paltz Ofce of Undergraduate
Admission.
New Paltz uses e-mail as its ofcial method
of communication. In order to assure that
you receive all communication related to
your application, please make sure the e-mail
address that you provided on your applica-
tion is correct. Please add SUNY New Paltz
to your address book to avoid e-mails from
that address being sent to spam folders.

Seven-Year Medical Program Complete
application by January 15
Seven-Year Optometry Program
Complete application by January 15
Te College reserves the right to alter due dates
without prior notifcation to the applicant.
When will I receive my admission
decision?
Early Action You will be notifed by mail
by January 1.
Regular Decision Decisions are mailed
on a rolling basis beginning January 15.
EOP Decision Decisions are mailed on
a rolling basis beginning January 15.
