* Experiments on various pendulums, bar-type oscillators and spring-mass systems 1
* Damping, resonance and damping effects with forced vibration Technical Description The instructional system covers a wide range of topics in mechanical vibration technology. It is mounted on a sturdy, low-vibration aluminum sectional frame which is installed on a rolling laboratory trolley with braked wheels. Quick fastening elements for the formed grooves for quick and accurate experimental set-up. Forced vibration is generated with an electrical motor- driven unbalance exciter. The exciter frequency can be set precisely on a control unit with digital display. An oil damper is used for vibration abatement. A bar-type oscillator that can be adjusted with weights is included for absorber experiments. A mechanical drum and a polar diagram recorder record the vibration. The single parts are stored in the protective storage compartments of the laboratory trolley. The external computer-aided PC data acquisition (TM 150.20) and a practice set for torsional vibrations (TM 150.02) are available as accessories.

TM 150 Universal Vibration System 1 laboratory trolley, 2 frame, 3 exciter control unit with digital frequency display, 4 drum recorder for recording vibration, 5 suspension spring, 6 unbalance exciter, 7 rigid bar as discrete oscillator, 8 damper cylinder from left to right: rod pendulum, wood pendulum with adjustable weight, thread pendulum, bifilar thread pendulum with various weights Absorber effect of additional weights: The shaded area shows at f R the resonance of the unaffected bar-type oscillator. The 2 grey areas at f 1 and f 2 are the new resonances of the system bar with absorber. At f R the amplitude of the oscillation system produced by the absorber disappears almost completely.
