FAMILY HERO:

MY FATHER, LEE KON

by Lee Kah Kit from Kuala Lumpur

Lee Kons field trip in Hong Kong as a businessman

My father was born in Hospital Besar Kuala Lumpur in 1965. He has a lot of
brothers and sisters. When he was 18 years old, he started to work as an insurance
agent. After few years later, he changed his job and started his ventures as a
business man. Finally, after a lot of work, he bought himself a condominium and a
nice car without depending on others.

Why my father is my hero? He wasnt afraid to work hard for his future and
willing to suffer to achieve his goals. He thought of his future a lot and made a
good decision by starting his ventures as a business man. My father didnt know
how to speak well in English, but he always tries his best to communicate with his
clients in English. Even though he suffered a lot during the process in achieving
success in his ventures, he will never give up and always strives for better future.

How did my father help me to be a better person? For me, I personally think
he is a big example of overcoming. He works hard to reach his dreams and to
nurture me so that I will be a successful person in the future. He taught me not to
be afraid when I faced difficulties and obstacles in my life and respect others
despite of their social status and background.
