Satisfaction In Banking Industry (A case study on Janata Bank Ltd)


Project Objective:
objectives regarding this study are as follows:
To fulfill academic requirement.
To gain practical knowledge in the banking sector.
To collect an overview of the private banking in our country.
To understand the ways of performance of the HR department of Janata Bank.
To analyze and evaluate the performance of HRD & its Employees of Janata Bank in the field of
Compensation & employee satisfaction (Human Resource Management).
To assess and evaluate the relationship between the compensation paid & the growth of
satisfaction of employees in their own job.
To compare the performance with the standard set by the global market.
Research Methodology
i. Data Collection:
For this research both primary and secondary data have been collected.
a) Primary Data:
- Discussion with the personnel of Janata Bank
b) Secondary Data:
- Annual report of Janata Bank
- Website of Janata Bank
- Published documents, circulars, statements & brochures
- Information from Internet
- Hr Department of Janata Bank
ii. Sampling Plan: For conducting this study following plan has been followed.
Contact Method : Questionnaire and Interview
Sampling Unit : HRD of Janata Bank
Sample Size : 100 employees
Sampling Area : Janata Bank, (Gulshan Branch)
iii. Data Analysis Method:In case of this research a simple qualitative judgment has been drawn on the
basis of available information. Some data has been judged quantitatively. Both the primary & secondary
data will be analyzed through quantitative as well as qualitative judgment. The raw data will be processed
through the computer program, namely MS Word, Excel etc. Secondary data will be analyzed manually
time to time.

Employee Perceptions towards Compensation Practices of Banking
Industry in Bangladesh
General objective:
The general objective of this proposal will be, to express the practical experience
by working in a division and to link the theoretical knowledge with its application
in the real life situation. The objective of the first part of this proposal is to
familiarize with the compensation practices of banking industry.
Proposal objective:
Understand the basic principles and major elements of compensation.
Understand the various processes in compensation Job Analysis, Job
Descriptions, Job Evaluation and Compensation Surveys.
Determine and explain what makes up a sound and effective compensation
and benefits program.
To identify the different types of compensation practice method.
To find out the level of satisfaction of employees.
Methodology
The methodology of the study followed by the following through processes: Study
design can be termed as a basic Descriptive. Sources and collection of data as an
observation method.
Primary sources:
The primary data was gathered through informally discussed with different
levels of employees in different banking organization
Interview with the executives and officers.
Secondary sources:
Published documents
Official files
Relevant books, newspapers, journals and websites.

Objective of the Study:
Beside the primary objective, there are some other objectives which are equally important.
The prime objective of the study is to examine -
To come up with possible ways of improving service quality and efficiency that will lead
to bring more customer satisfaction for Janata Bank Ltd.
Analyze customer opinion regarding satisfaction through questioning customer.
To assess the level of importance, the customer of Janata Bank put across various
service attributes and also to determine how well Janata Bank is satisfying the
customers on those service grounds and different service quality dimensions.

1. Primary Data
I have collected primary data by variety of ways, first of all by interviewing employees of
Janata Bank Ltd. and directly communicating with the customers. I have also conducted a
questionnaire survey of the customers minimizing interruptions in their baking activities.
Face to face conversation with the employees. By interviewing customers of Janata Bank.
2. Secondary data
I have elaborated different types of secondary data in my research. Sources of secondary
information can be defined as follows:
