artsbusiness,theconceptofselfdefense,andthecriminalandcivil
liabilitiesofinappropriateuseofskills.

FirstAidandSafetyTeachesthebasicconceptsoffirstaid,CPRandsafety
inanyenvironment,andqualifiesasafirstresponder.Thisclassmustbe
satisfiedbytakingtheAmericanRedCross"EmergencyResponder"and
"CPRfortheProfessionalRescuer"courses,orequivalentcoursesfroma
recognizedagency.Oncecompleted,studentswillalsodiscussmartialarts
specificinjuries.Creditforpreviousexperiencemaybeawarded.

BeginningMartialArtsMartialartstrainingatanapprovedmartialarts
schoolmustsatisfytherequirementsfor10ththrough6thkyu(gup)or
equivalent(maytakemuchlongerthanonesemester).Creditforprevious
experiencemaybeawarded.

IntermediateMartialArtsMartialartstrainingatanapprovedmartialarts
schoolmustsatisfytherequirementsfor5ththrough3rdkyu(gup)or
equivalent(maytakemuchlongerthanonesemester).Creditforprevious
experiencemaybeawarded.

AdvancedMartialArtsMartialArtstrainingatanapprovedmartialarts
schoolmustsatisfytherequirementsfor2ndkyu(gup)throughShodan
(Chodan)orequivalent(maytakemuchlongerthanonesemester).Credit
forpreviousexperiencemaybeawarded.

TheBusinessofMartialArtsAnindepthlookatstartingandrunninga
martialartsschool,includingpracticesandproceduresspecificallyinherent
inmartialarts.

TeachingMartialArtsAstudyofteachingmethodsandtechniquesspecific
tomartialarts.Reviewscommonissuesinteachingmartialarts.

TeachingMartialArtsInternshipPracticalapplicationofinstructionatan
approvedmartialartsschool.Onesemesterhourawardedforeverytwenty
hoursofhandsonteachingtime.Mustinclude2semesterhoursteaching
beginningstudents,2semesterhoursteachingintermediatestudents,and2
semesterhoursteachingadvancedstudents.Creditforpreviousexperience
maybeawarded.

ResidentialColloquiaTwooneweekresidentialrequirements(3semester
hoursawardedforeach)duringwhichtimemartialartsskillswillbe
demonstrated,inpersonacademicexaminationswillbeadministeredand
otherresidentialrequirementswillbemet.Creditwillautomaticallybe
awardedtofulltimeresidentialstudents.

Fees

Asstatedbefore,theAmericanMartialArtsCollegeisnotcurrently
accredited.Therefore,theratesatthistimecanbesubstantiallylowerthan
theywillbeinthefutureonceaccreditationhasbeenapproved.However,
italsomeansthatwearecurrentlyunabletoacceptgovernmentfinancial
aid,theMontgomeryGIBill,andmostcorporatetuitionassistance.Please
understandthatthelowtuitionandfeesarenotanindicationofqualityof
accreditationthroughoneor
moreoftheselistedlegitimate
agencies.

theprogramortheexpectedqualityofthestudents'academicperformance.
Thecurriculumwillremainsubstantiallythesameoncetheprogramis
started,butchangeswillbemadeinaccordancewithaccreditationagency
requests.Thechangesincurriculumwillberequiredbyallstudents,pastor
present,inordertoreceivecreditforcompletingtheapprovedprogram.
Inadditiontominorassociatedapplicationandothergeneralfees(tobe
determined),theinitialanticipatedtuitionfeeswillbeapproximately$65per
semesterhour.Onceaccredited,tuitionwillprobablybearound$350per
semesterhour.Otherthanaslightassessmentfee,wewillnotchargefor
transferredhoursorcreditbyexaminationhours.
Themajorityofstudymaterialsandtextbookswillbereadilyavailable
throughmostonlineandlargecorporatebooksellers(Amazon.com,
Borders,BarnesandNoble,BooksaMillion,etc.).
