Planning and Goal-Setting Worksheet

Setting individual goals for progress in visual arts is an important development strategy.
Use this worksheet to help you plan out the steps for your project, and help you stay on task and
identify any problems you are having during the project. You can use this sheet during your
student/teacher progress meetings to communicate your ideas.
There are five components to set goals for that will guide you in your project development. Make sure
to specify both short and long term goals for steps to your success.

Objectives: Demonstrates your ability to meet the criteria of the given assignment.
Originality: Demonstrates your ability to show personal expression and exploration of the topic.
Artisanship/Care: Demonstrates your ability with the techniques and tools you are using and
the care and process you put into your assignment
Composition: Demonstrates your knowledge and inclusion of elements and principles of art and
design.
On-task: Demonstrates your ability to use class time effectively and hand work in on time.
