Responsibility 1: Packaging
Planning, indenting & coordination for packing materials, reducing packaging cost
per shop turnover

Responsibility 2: Wood recovery
Planning and increasing cost saving through contract for recovery of wood/GI sheet
etc..from used boxes & packing

Responsibility 3: Works contract
Organize annual packing, loading, unloading works contract in time at competitive
rates

Responsibility 4: Costing
Plan to keep packing materials cost within budgeted limits

Responsibility 5: Wood tooling
Organize & provide wood tooling for packing

Responsibility 6: Drawings analysis
Plan, Analyze and implement drawings for packing & transport fixtures

To design, facilitate & ensure proper wood work packaging for the materials
to be dispatched

Responsibility 1: Wagon availability
Uptime availability of special wagons, placement of wagon for loading with suitable
capacity & proper quality

Responsibility 2: Contract placement
Initiate & process transportation contracts for timely despatch of finished products,
plan & implement cost savings through competitive transportation contract rates

Responsibility 3: Transporter evaluation
Develop & implement systems for evaluating performance of transporters at regular
intervals, initiate projects to utilize IT for making provisions to use the system online

Responsibility 4: Costing
Plan to keep transportation costs within budgeted limits, review contract rates for
cost reduction, reduce demurrages paid to railways


Responsibility 5: Payment coordination
Receive freight bills/freight confirmation letter, verify and timely forward & coordi-
nate with Finance dept for release of payments

Responsibility 6: Obtaining permissions
Obtaining ODC sanction from railways within deadlines, maintaining nil show cause
notices from jurisdictional excise authorities

Responsibility 7: Internal transport
Ensure smooth running of internal transport function, analyze break down of vehicles
& take corrective/preventive steps to reduce breakdowns

To plan, analyze & execute activities for dispatching the materials to the project sites

Responsibility 1: Documentation
Preparing, maintaining & updating documents for the dispatches.

Responsibility 2: Technology initiatives
Initiate, plan & execute initiatives taken to computerize processes related to dispatch

Responsibility 3: Coordinate Transporter evaluation
Develop & implement systems for evaluating performance of transporters at regular
intervals, initiate projects to utilize IT for making provisions to use the system online

Responsibility 4: Improvement projects
Initiate, plan & execute improvement projects in the area of despatch to bring down
cost and increase profitability

Responsibility 5: 5S implementation
Identify, Execute & Review 5S in the areas related to central despatch

Responsibility 6: Finance duties planning
Plan to avail 100% CENVAT credit on input & capital goods, reduce debit of duty for
sub contracting job materials outstanding for more than 180 days, ensure 100% liqui-
dation of duty debits in physical exports and stock transfer within in prescribed time
limits.

Responsibility 7: MIR preparation
Prepare and send monthly, quarterly, half yearly & yearly reports to the concerned
agencies

Responsibility 8: Audits
Review processes and systems and reply to Govt/internal audit paras/queries/
inspection/action taken

Responsibility 9: Quality requirements
Review & Settle NCRs of ISO 9001, 14000

To study, analyze & facilitate departments for the smooth dispatch of the
finished product to the project sites

Responsibility 1: Operations Management
Monitor, review & manage the various operations activity within the respective De-
partment to ensure deliverables are delivered to the required processes within the set
deadlines
Responsibility 2: Value based leadership
Promoting the organization's values by leading from the front by becoming a role
model and ensuring ethical business operations for reinforcement of the organiza-
tional culture
Responsibility 3: Strategic Planning
Conceptualize, plan, execute, analyze, review & refine strategies for long term to en-
sure benefits for all stakeholders
Responsibility 4: Customer value enhancement
Promote, communicate & ensure design of systems & processes for meeting custom-
ers requirements. Ensuring after sales services through effective spares management.
Study & provide direction to the employees for introduction of new technologies /
systems for delivering better value to customers.
Responsibility 5: Internal process efficiency enhancement
Ensuring creation & usage of process oriented approaches for enhancing systems ef-
fectiveness, Debottlenecking by way of use of cost effective alternative options & En-
suring inter function & interdepartmental cooperation for addressing critical issues
Responsibility 6: People Development
Ensuring rewards & recognition are provided to employees for any noteworthy
achievements / good work done. Providing exposure to employees through training
programmes, seminars, new-technologies etc. Create an environment for tapping &
utilizing the potential of employees within the function through effective communica-
tion.
Responsibility 7: Succession Planning
Develop potential leaders form the group of executives within the Department by
identifying competent successors & grooming them for taking on key roles in the fu-
ture & in the process maintain Departmental harmony by means of fair treatment &
communication to remove any negative vibes in the working environment
Responsibility 8: Industrial Relations
Ensuring involvement of key stakeholders like inter function, interdepartmental em-
ployees, union representatives wherever required in different platforms, forums to
address issues, discuss & deliberate them & resolve the issues raised to improve prod-
uct, process & service quality
Responsibility 9: Statutory compliance
Ensuring compliance to the Statutory & regulatory Norms & extend adequate support
& assistance to the concerned function, departments & sections to abide by the requi-
site standards
Responsibility 10: Employee Empowerment
Conceptualize, plan, execute, analyze, review & refine strategies for empowering em-
ployees at operational & middle level within Department to develop competent, effec-
tive & efficient executives to take up challenging tasks & complete required targets
within the set deadlines which helps honing of talents & developing confidence.
