It is highly recommended that you have the most up-to-date driver for your video card installed to take advantage of the
power of OpenGL which is needed for Perfect Efects.

Installing Perfect Efects 8
To install Perfect Efects 8, double click the installer icon and allow the installer to guide you.
Close Perfect Efects, Photoshop, Lightroom and Aperture before installing.
Mac OS X
The application is installed in the Perfect Efects 8 folder in the Applications folder.
All plug-in fles for supported host applications (such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Aperture, and Photoshop
Elements) found during the installation process will be installed automatically. You will see a summary of
installed plug-ins at the end of installation.
If a previous version of the Perfect Efects is found, you have the option of maintaining or removing it.
Presets from previous versions will automatically be migrated. User installed textures will need to be reinstalled.
Support fles are installed into /Library/Application Support/ and ~/Library/Application Support/ folder.
Windows
The application is installed in the Perfect Efects 8 directory in the onOne Software directory in the Program
Files directory.
All plug-in fles for supported host applications (such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Aperture, and Photoshop
Elements) found during the installation process will be installed automatically. You will see a summary of
installed plug-ins at the end of installation.

Uninstalling Perfect Efects 8
To uninstall Perfect Efects 8 follow these instructions.
Mac OSX
Go to the Applications/Perfect Efects 8/Documentation folder.
Double click on the Remove Perfect Efects 8 application.
Windows
Go to Control Panel.
Under Programs select Uninstall a program.
In the list that comes up select Perfect Efects 8 and then click on the Uninstall button.

Known Issues
Perfect Efects 8 is not optimized for high-dpi (Retina) displays. It functions correctly but does not take
advantage of the high pixel density so the image will not appear more detailed or sharper like it does in native
applications.
Generating thumbnails and previews for Raw fles on Windows is slow.
If you select two favorites of the same name, only one is added to your favorites list.
Presets fail to work in the onOne panel in Photoshop if the Photoshop preference for auto-collapse iconic panels
is enabled.
Presets do not appear in the onOne panel in Photoshop if the Google/Nik Selective plug-in is installed.
