IBPS Bank PO/Clerical Common Written Examination (CWE)

Our study materials and mock test papers are prepared after a careful and in-depth analysis of the
actual exam papers and hence reflect the level of difficulty which is close to the actual test.

The Banking Industry is recruiting in a big way. In the next few years, banks will have to recruit lakhs of
candidates. The time taken by a bank to complete the recruitment process has come down with the
introduction of the first of its kind "Common Written Examination (CWE)" in 2011. The Institute of
Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts a series of CWEs for selection of personnel for the posts
of Clerks / Probationary Officers / Management Trainees in 20 Public Sector Banks and 82 Regional
Rural Banks (RRBs)

The course has four modules.

4
Module I : This module helps you to develop basic knowledge and skills for all the areas that are
tested in Bank Exams. The fundamental concepts are taught in great detail for each topic. This is
followed by practice exercises to deeply integrate fundamental concepts and help you quickly
approach and tackle difficult questions.

The first ever CWE for PO/MT was held in September 2011. For Clerks it was held in November 2011,
for Specialist Officers it was conducted in March 2011 and for RRBs in September 2012.

4
Module II : Chapter-wise tests to help you prepare for each test area. These tests will help you
revise your concepts and increase your speed.

IBPS conducts series of CWEs in a year for recruitment of PO and Clerks into the Public Sector Banks
and Regional Rural Banks to cater to the needs of the industry and also to the needs of job aspirants.
This means that aspirants are clear about when they should apply, and can plan their preparation in an
organised and effective manner.

4
Module III : A large number of Mock Tests on the pattern of Bank Exams (IBPS/SBI) will be
conducted. These will give you an overall idea of the level you are required to achieve and ample
practice to help you achieve it. These Mock Tests will replicate the actual exam in every conceivable
way.

List of banks participating in CWE:

Except for SBI, which has decided to plough its own trough, almost all major Public Sector Banks are
participating in the CWE. The 20 banks which are participating in the CWE are Allahabad Bank, Andhra
Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India,
Corporation Bank, Dena Bank, IDBI bank, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Oriental Bank of

exam. These tests are designed to familiarise the student with online tests. Students can take them any
time they want from the student home page.

Private banks to consider IBPS scores:

Some of the private banks and financial institutes (like ECGC) have also decided to use the IBPS CWE
scores to recruit candidates for the posts of Officers and Clerks in their banks.

It was the right decision to join T.I.M.E. Every faculty member was cooperative and helped me
in my preparation for bank exams. Coaching at T.I.M.E. really helped me to achieve my goal.
The study material and the test series provided by T.I.M.E. was very good. I got to know
everything about bank exams after joining T.I.M.E.
I achieved success because I joined T.I.M.E. and i am very much thankful to the T.I.M.E. team.
