ANSYS Academic Registration Instructions for Students

1. Make sure your professor has registered on the ANSYS Customer Portal.
2. Visit the ANSYS Student Portal.
3. Enter your informaton in the felds of:
First Name
Last Name
Phone Number
Email Address
Confrm Email Address
Account Number Get this number from your professor
Academic Facility Name Name of your University or College. If what you enter isnt working, follow-up with
your professor to get the Facility Name that was in his email.
4. Select Register.
5. Select your professor from the drop down and click submit. If you do not see your professors name, contact
them and ask them to register on the ANSYS Customer Portal.
6. Select and confrm a password and a security queston and answer. Click submit.
7. Your ANSYS Student Portal Account is now created.
8. Log into the ANSYS Student Portal.

ANSYS Student Purchasing Instructions
1. Select the ANSYS Academic Student banner in the center/middle of the webpage.
2. Select the Buy Now link.
3. Select Agree for the ANSYS Academic Student Terms of Use and Clickwrap Agreement, click contnue.
4. Run the AnsHostInfoStudent.zip utlity and populate the felds of HOSTNAME and FLEXID, click contnue.
5. Enter your shipping informaton, click contnue.
6. Submit billing address and credit card informaton, click submit order.
7. Your license fle will be then emailed to you. Once you receive it follow the installaton instructons shown on
the download page. Also, please be sure to view the installaton video & FAQs.

The ANSYS Academic Student product license is node locked to an individual users machine and provides access
to problem size limited versions of ANSYS Multphysics, ANSYS CFD, ANSYS AUTODYN, ANSYS Workbench, ANSYS
DesignModeler and ANSYS DesignXplorer.
ANSYS Academic Student is for academic student use only, and as such our Academic terms of use apply: The
analysis work performed with the program must be non-proprietary work. Licensee must be an academic student
afliated with an academic facility that licenses ANSYS products. The program(s) may not be used for compettve
analysis (such as benchmarking) or for any commercial actvity, including consultng. The program may be used
only for student projects, and student homework and classwork assignments.
Due to our utlizaton of license keys and the value of our intellectual property, it is ANSYS, Inc. standard policy to
not provide refunds for any of its products. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Special Introductory Price: $25 (plus any applicable sales tax) for one year annual license.
