The plot
Charles and his friends wonder if they will ever find true love and marry. Charles
thinks he's found "Miss Right" in Carrie, an American. This British comedy
revolves around Charlie, his friends and the four weddings and one funeral
which they attend.

What’s your favourite scene or moment? My favourite moment of the film is


when Matthew made an emotional speech for his boyfriend.

The characters
Who are the main characters?

Hugh Grant as Charles


Charles is a simple man, ironic, sometimes is shy and funny. He’s fall in love
with Carrie. Charles is always being late to friends’ weddings.

Andy MacDowell as Carrie


Carrie is a pretty American woman. She’s interesting, intelligent and
independent woman. Carrie is in love with Charles. She had a lot of boyfriends.

James Fleet as Tom


Tom is Fiona’s brother. He sometimes is clumsy. Also, Tom is nice and funny.

Simon Callow as Gareth


Gareth is Tom boyfriend, he is homosexual. Gareth is an original, funny and he
likes parties a lot.

John Hannah as Matthew


Matthew is a homosexual man and she is in love with Gareth. Matthew is
sentimental.

Kristin Scott Thomas as Fiona


Fiona is an intellectual person. She’s very shy and elegant. Fiona likes Charles,
but she says it in the end of film.

David Bower as David


He’s deaf and was born in north of Wales. David is Charles’ brother.

Charlotte Coleman as Scarlett


Scarlett is an extrovert girl. She’s always wearing bright clothes. Scarlett is
Charles’ best friend and she lives together; also she’s always being late to
friends’ weddings like Charles. Scarlett is funny.

Rowan Atkinson as Father Gerald


Father Gerald is an inexperienced priest. She is a nervous and shy person.

Anna Chancellor as Henrietta (“Duckface”)


Henrietta is obsessive person. She likes Charles and she wants to get married
with him.

Who's your favourite character?


My favourite character is Scarlett. I think Scarlett is a person who is always she.
Scarlett is funny, sincere and extrovert. Also I think that Charles, Carrie, Fiona
are a good characters.

Conclusion: Personal opinion
In my opinion this film was so good. It’s a very romantic comedy film. The cast
was exceptional: Hugh Grant, Andy MacDowell, John Hannah, Rowan
Atkinson… The plot of Four Weddings and a Funeral is entertaining and
interesting. I recommend this film!
