Join us for a double feature of THE DOG, an intimate portrait
of the vivacious John Wojtowicz, followed by the flm he inspired,
DOG DAY AFTERNOON.
THE DOG was flmed over the course of a 10-year period by
co-directors Allison Berg and Frank Keraudren, and interweav-
ing extraordinary archival footage on the robbery, 70s era
interviews and the early gay liberation movement in which
Te Dog played an active role, the documentary captures
the many sides of John Wojtowiczs larger-than-life persona: he
is, by turns lover, husband, soldier, lover, activist, New Yorker,
mamas boy and bank robber.
In DOG DAY AFTERNOON, Al Pacino plays Sonny, a
harried little guy who is knocking over a bank so the love of his
life - future FRIGHT NIGHT vamp Chris Sarandon - can get
a sex change operation. Sonny hasnt told his wife, who fnds
out when the robbery turns into a hostage standof that lights
up the evening news. Cazale is Sal, Sonnys dimwitted partner,
whos just trying to get through it all.

THE DOG (2014)
Coming of age in the 1960s, John Wojtowicz took pride in
being a pervert. His libido was excessive even by the libertine
standards of the era, with multiple wives and lovers, both
women and men.
In August, 1972, he attempted to rob a Brooklyn bank to
fnance his lovers sex-reassignment surgery. Te attempted
heist resulted in a fourteen-hour hostage situation that was
broadcast on TV. Tree years later, Pacino portrayed his char-
acter instigating the unforgettable crime on the big screen. Te
award-winning flm had a profound infuence on Wojtowicz,
when he emerged from prison six years later, he became known
as Te Dog.
Filmed over the course of a 10-year period by co-directors Al-

MOOD INDIGO (2014)
Set in a charmingly surreal Paris, Duris plays wealthy bachelor
Colin, whose hobbies include developing his pianocktail (a
cocktail-making piano) and devouring otherworldly dishes
prepared by his trusty chef Nicolas. When Colin learns that his
best friend Chick, a fellow acolyte of the philosopher Jean-Sol
Partre, has a new American girlfriend, our lonely hero attends a
friends party in hopes of falling in love himself. He soon meets
Chlo (Tautou) and, before they know it, theyre dancing to
Duke Ellington and plunging headfrst into a romance that
Gondry rapturously depicts as only he can. Teir whirlwind
courtship is tested when an unusual illness plagues Chloe; a
fower begins to grow in her lungs. To save her, Colin discovers
the only cure is to surround Chloe with a never-ending supply
of fresh fowers.

Girlie Night: AMELIE (2001)
I wish I knew more French, but I dont, so instead Ill force
myself to describe my passion for this flm in plain old boring
English. Te frst time I saw AMELIE, it immediately changed
all of my life goals. Who cares about things like career advance-
ment and saving for retirement when you could be a waitress
in Paris and spend your days improving peoples lives through
the power of whimsicality?
In fact, if I didnt love AMELIE so much, I would kind of hate
it because WHY CANT I BE HER?!!! Shes so, so pretty, and
she lives in the most charming apartment, and shes super good
at pranks and she even solved a mystery that led her to TRUE
LOVE.
CALL GIRL OF CTHULHU (2014)

has been prophesied as the bride of the ancient god Cthulhu.
Can he help her escape the ruthless cult pursuing her, and
prevent the birth of hell on Earth? Were not telling, but there
are lots of Lovecraft in-jokes, double entendres and surprises

DRAGON BALL Z: BATTLE OF THE GODS (2014)
Following the events from the Dragon Ball Z television series,
after the defeat of Majin Buu, a new power awakens and threat-
ens humanity. Beerus, an ancient and powerful God of Destruc-
tion, searches for Goku after hearing rumors of the Saiyan war-
rior who defeated Frieza. Realizing the threat Beerus poses to
their home planet, the Z-fghters must fnd a way to stop him
before its too late. Only Goku, humanitys last hope, can ascend
to the level of a legendary Super Saiyan God and stop Beerus
from destroying Earth, and possibly the entire universe!

Presley at a point when he decided to permanently abandon

preparing for his stage show, relaxing backstage and trading
jokes with his vocal accompanists, and, of course, Elvis before a
live, loud audience.

rantulas to spin their story of a Southwestern town under arach
attack after pesticides rob the creepy-crawlers of their usual food
supply, and the result will have you nervously wondering what
might be scurrying around under your theater seat.

Staf pick of Miles!
Stephen Chow co-wrote, produced and directed this 2004 Chi-
nese action comedy that brought Chuck Jones-inspired cartoon
violence into the world of Hong Kong martial arts. Featuring
over-the-top slapstick stunts and Chow as a wannabe gangster
whose habit of impersonating members of the notoriously
dangerous Axe Gang lands him in hot water once he runs afoul
of the legendary group of thugs and murderers. Its up to the
residents of a housing complex all retired martial arts master
to help the miscreant discover the hero he has buried inside.
MONTY PYTHON LIVE (MOSTLY) (2014)
For the frst time in more than three decades, comedy legends
Monty Python will perform live on stage together this year.
Broadcast from Londons O2 Arena, Monty Python Live
(mostly) will play in cinemas around the globe. At a combined

DUCK SOUP (1933)
Over the course of a frantic, hysterical 68 minutes the Brothers
Marx showcase their collective comedic and performance genius
from one brilliant set piece to another. Directed by Hollywood
vet Leo McCarey, this is the most polished of the Marxs flms,
which is no easy task. McCareys collaboration is the main
reason Groucho believes this to be their best flm. Tey spread
anarchy over every frame and make a brilliant political satire
thats not interested in saying anything political. Its madcap. Its
insane. Its positively, absolutely the zaniest creation from the
masters of being zany.
MONSTER SQUAD (1987, 35mm)
A group of horror-obsessed adolescents are joined by the
Frankenstein Monster to combat Dracula, the Wolfman, the
Mummy and a Swamp Creature. Childhood innocence is
forever lost in a blinding storm of silver bullets, sharpened
stakes and enormous explosions. Tis child-sized chunk of
anti-monster justice was unleashed on cinemas with such savage
fury that few recognized its true greatness, but it has since been
rediscovered as the classic it truly is! So grab your tickets before
the full moon and be here for this show or well kick you right
in the...genitals.
RESERVOIR DOGS (1992, 35mm)
In 1992, moviegoers got a glimpse of what writer/director
indie flm god Quentin Tarantino could do. Te flm unfolds
in the now famous Tarantino non-linear style, which utilizes
fashbacks to maximum efect both in story and character, and
encompasses his fair for cinematic homage and energy. Te
combination is a flm that can be appreciated by a multitude of
viewers, from hardcore cinephiles to those just looking to have
a good time. Tats a given assumption today with the flms of
Tarantino, but in 1992 it was very fresh and refreshing to see a
flm that was unpretentious, yet controlled and stylish.
STEEL MAGNOLIAS (1989)
In this charming little parlor, you dont just get your hair and
nails did-- you get life lessons from some of the best and sassiest
actresses to ever grace the screen. Without STEEL MAGNO-
LIAS, how would you know that there are so many diferent
shades of pink (including Blush and Bashful), or that all gay
men have track lighting? Without Ouiser Boudreaux (Shirley
MacLaine, in all of her cantankerously awesome glory), how
would you discover that its possible to be in a bad mood for 40
years? And without Clairee Belcher (Olympia Dukakis), how

THE WARRIORS (1979)
Preposterously themed street gangs, electrifying synths, raging
fsticufs and a lean, mean, macho man story. Cyrus is the
toughest, baddest all-round coolest gang leader around and hes
assembled all of the gangs in New York City to unify them.
But when Cyrus ends up dead, Te Warriors take the wrap and
every face painted, spiked bat carrying, homicidal maniac in the
city is out to kill them as our true-hearted, iron-willed Coney
Island rumblers punch, bite and bleed their way home through
the labyrinth of Manhattan.

Its the last day of the summer season at Camp Firewood, and
all the campers and counselors are trying to make sure they
create memories that will last a lifetime. For some, that means

When AN AMERICAN TAIL was released in 1986, the world
of American animation was forever changed. For the frst time
in history, grown ups were taking cartoons seriously! With
Steven Spielberg as the executive producer and presenter, Fievel
and the Mousekewitz family succeeded where many cartoon
mice had failed. Join us on a journey to 19th century America,
through the eyes of some very gullible singing rodents who
actually believe in the dream of a land with cheese-paved roads.
BABE (1995)
A young pig fghts convention to become a sheep dog -- or,
rather, sheep pig -- in this charming Australian family flm,
which became an unexpected international success due to supe-
rior special efects and an intelligent script. Te title refers to the
name bestowed on a piglet soon after his separation from his
family, when he fnds himself on a strange farm. Confused and
sad, Babe is adopted by a friendly dog and slowly adjusts to his
new home. Discovering that the fate of most pigs is the dinner
table, Babe devotes himself to becoming a useful member of the
farm by trying to learn how to herd sheep.
CORPSE BRIDE (2005)
When an arranged marriage between Victor Van Dort and
Victoria Everglot reaches the rehearsals, Victor starts to worry.
Spending time alone in the forest, Victor decides to practice
on his own. Everything seems to go well, until he accidentally
puts the ring upon the hand of a corpse. Before he knows it,
Victor is in the land of dead and now has a corpse bride. Whilst
everyones worries about who Victoria will marry in the land of
the living, Victor desperately fnds a way to get back.
RANGO (2011)
Johnny Depp teams up with his PIRATES OF THE CA-
RIBBEAN director Gore Verbinski to star as Rango, a pet
chameleon who is taken from his safe terrarium and left in the
Old West. Once there, the young lizard takes it upon himself
to become the sherif. But he soon discovers that the town dont
take too kindly to strange reptiles, especially ones who fancy
