Connection kit for battery rack:
- associated with type 80 battery,
- associated with type 270 battery (high power > 8 KW),
- associated with type 270 battery (medium power < 8 KW).

These kits are designed to connect the battery strings to the MP power plant. These kits are
to be associated with one battery string only (battery rack and power supply system have
to be installed side by side, otherwise longer interconnection cables have to be fitted on
site).
Futhermore, each kit allows a battery rack connection to the earth conductor.

Covering panels for 2 shelves battery rack

This set contains painted or galvanized panels and fixing screws for 2 shelves battery rack.

5. NECESSARY TOOLS

The necessary tools for the installation are:

6. PRELIMINARY CONTROL AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Before installation, provide sufficient clearance at the top of the power plant for the
cables access.

The securing of the battery rack to the floor is recommended. Refer to the appended
drawings for fixation holes distances and diameters.

Check that the site is compatible with the power plant dimensions (Length, Width,
Depth).

Check that enough space is available all around the power plant location.

7. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR BATTERY RACK 2 SHELVES

Make the installation as describes below:

Put down the first battery plate on the floor.

Screw the four columns to the four corners of this plate with the fixing accessories
provided.

Note: 16 screws, 16 washers and 16 rectangular nuts are used by plate. The screws and
washers must be mounted outside. Definitively tighten the screws only at the end of the
assembly (tightening torque 3 to 4 Nm).

WARNING : a battery, even a single block, contains a high energy potential inside. A short
circuit between the two output terminals represents a danger due to arcing.

it is recommended to use isolated tools,

it is recommended to connect first the blocks to the battery outputs of the MP power
plant, and after the blocks together, in order to avoid arcing during connection on the
MP power plant.

it is recommended to remove the battery fuses before the connection to the MP power
plant.

it is recommended to put the protective covers provided on the output terminals of each
battery.

Battery connection to the MP power plant

According to the delivered equipment :

In the case of several battery strings to be connected to the MP power plant, the battery strings
should be dispatched on the two bus bars provided, in order to avoid to have all the battery
strings connected on one single battery fuse.

To facilitate the installation, it is recommended to begin by the bottom battery plate and to
make the connection cables going through the battery rack colums.
